Seizing the Promise

Key Verse: Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Purpose

We are in the last days and living in a fear we as children of God have no business living in. We have political correctness doctrine coming down around our ears regularly and I reckon I’m set for the defense of the gospel so they’ll have to come and get me cause I ain’t got no intention of quitting now, especially when I know the trump is about to sound and he is going to gather his youngins up to meet him in the clouds to forever be with him. We are once again in a period as Reagan described of the Democrats. If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” I have about had it with worrying about these things and from now on I am going to rely on the power of Almighty God and let the chips fall where they may. If I am a fool at least in my mind it will be for Christ’s sake.

As children of God we have been given the power to overcome the wiles of the devil and should fear him that is able to destroy both body and soul instead of him that is able only to destroy the body. This means simply, the devil can do nothing or have any victory over the spirit-filled child of God unless God chooses to allow it but even if he does allow it he always provides an escape. He promised us he will not put more on us than we are able to handle. It we are to die God will make it easier for us. Have faith in God! Until such a day as this exists we are to use the love and power of God to exalt him and his kingdom on earth to win the souls of the lost. The devil with the devil, he is no concern to me cause I know where he is going and he is the last one I want to spend my eternity with. He has given me enough hell while I am here on earth so I sure don’t want his audience in the hereafter. I have in my lifetime seen him destroy too many people’s lives with alcohol, drugs, sexual promiscuity, pornography, etc. As a matter of fact, I literally hate him with a passion. Yea, I coulda used better grammar, but I ain’t in no mood to mince words. I’m in a dragon slaying mood right now. I am determined that I will not be found guilty of this; Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation (that’s us); of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Put Some Faith on/in them Legs

This cannot be done with mere words because the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life. Step out by faith through a loving spirit and sometimes that means tough love and use the power God gave us when he filled up with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Let it be said of us as it was with the early Christians; Acts 17:6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also. James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 1 Corinthians 4:10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honorable, but we are despised. 2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. We are told by the prophet Daniel in the last days of which we live, Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And Jesus said, Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Isaiah 46:9-11 “Calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.”

Matthew 16:18-19 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Example 1: Acts 5:1-5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? And after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

Example 2: 2 Kings 2:22-25 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. And he went from thence to Mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Greater works than these shall ye do!
