Read the damn bill.

Read the damn bill.
Carolyn Hileman

Read the bill, that is what the American people have been saying all along, if you don’t know what is in it don’t pass it and finally yesterday Senator Tom Coburn asked that an amendment be read in its entirety and that amendment being 767 pages the senator withdrew it and ended any vote on a government run insurance plan. Thank you Senator Tom Coburn, thank you for standing up for the American people, thank you for being a ray of hope in the storm they call healthcare. We need more of our representatives, republican and democrats demanding the exact same thing. We will be able to chip away at this mammoth healthcare bill and slowly shred it to pieces.

Every senator has the ability to do the exact same thing, there is no excuse for them not to, we need to be calling them at 1-877-851-6437, 1-800-833-6354, 1-866-220-0044, 1-866-808-0065, 1-877-762-8762, 1-866-340-9281, or 1-800-862-5530 and telling them to do exactly what Tom Coburn did. If the terrorists deserve to have their rights read to them on the battlefield we deserve to have our sentence read to us and not by a speed reader either. I believe that there are some senators who will not vote for any of this if the bill is read in public, it is too close to Christmas they want to be home too, but if they are forced to read every single amendment and every single page of that bill before it can be voted on I do not see it passing.

I don’t know about you but I do not want a healthcare bill for Christmas, I do not want my New Years pledge to be to paying more taxes, I want this bill killed for Christmas, this one and every single one after this. It is time our representatives chose sides, they are either with the elitist, spendthrifts who are spending money faster than the American people can make it or they stand with the American taxpayers and will demand every single page is read. I know we are all busy planning for Christmas, but we must plan for our future at the same time, I know it makes you angry to have to deal with this during the holidays but your country needs you today. This is a war we are fighting and wars do not take a holiday, we are fighting for not only our future but our children’s future and we do not want to put even more massive debt under the Christmas tree. Stand up, speak up, the time is now, the solution is clear, read the damn bill.
