Illinois Gitmo Not Favored By Residents

It becomes almost redundant to say that Obama’s plans are not popular with the American public. His election still is a testament to how easily he was able to fool a majority of voters.

Now that plans to move the terrorist thugs from Gitmo to Illinois seem to be gaining momentum, at Obama’s behest, it is another case of President Obama preparing to potentially do something vastly unpopular with those that elected him. In a state where he won with nearly 62% of the vote, 51% of those polled in a new Rasmussen survey disagree with the idea of transporting dangerous terrorist lunatics to the state to be housed. Just 39% agreed with the idea.

Having the courage to do politically unpopular things is the mark of a leader. Doing things that are just politically and realistically stupid is the mark of a liberal Democrat. How’s that whole Obama thingy working out for ya?
