Kay Hagan is in a jam as she decides whether to hold up President Obama's nominee for U.S. attorney over concerns that the current prosecutor, a Republican, won't have time to finish his investigation into two prominent Democrats, former Sen. John Edwards and former Gov. Mike Easley.
