A Republican Governor In Michigan?

J.J. Jackson | December 21, 2009

Michigan is so blue that they are one of the most unkind states to liberty in the entire nation. Through thick and thin and now the thinnest, Michigan residents have stuck by the Democratic Party and the liberalism they have visited upon the state took them to the gates of Hell and has been marching them around and showing them the sights there for years.

Tour Guide: “Oh if you look out to the left, you will see Satan himself bathing Jeffrey Dahmer in a lake of molten lava.”

Michigan is in fact so bad when it comes to liberty for its citizenry that they have nearly caught up to California in terms of the idiocy that goes on there. But could that be changing? Despite recent polls by Rasmussen, I am not going to hold my breath. Of course, as we all know, “Republican” does not mean “conservative” either so I guess anything is possible.

Lieutenant Governor John Cherry, whom everyone expects to be the nominee for the Democrats, is loosing handily to three different Republican candidates for the office. Congressman Peter Hoekstra leads Cherry by 14%, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard leads Cherry by 10% and state Attorney General Mike Cox leads Cherry by 5%. Undecideds run from 16% to 20% in each poll.

I won’t hold my breath that come election day the people of Michigan will actually realize that what they have been doing for so many years is wrong and downright insane. But I guess anything is possible. And even a moderate Republican would be a step in the right direction from a state that has been in denial for so long. At the same time however, if the election of a Republican governor comes to pass as well as Republicans in other offices too, I don’t for one minute expect Michigan to give them more than one term to turn the state around despite years of bad policies and laws that will need to be worked through. Then they will go right back to the same old same old.

If you want to prove me wrong Michigan, I’d be happy to see it.

Isn’t Congresswoman Michelle Bachman from Michigan? Perhaps she is the catalyst that they have needed for so long. Perhaps she will wake those sheeple in Michigan up long enough to get some common sense. I would rather see a Conservative get elected rather than a Republican. There is a major difference between the two although that hasn’t happened yet in the communist state of California.

By the way, a big one is going to hit California very soon. You can count on it when volcanoes become more active, something underground is happening too.

I would love to see San Francisco break up and slide into the ocean with Pelosi leading the masses to their watery graves. A really great thing would be if Boxer and Feinstein were visiting Pelosi that day in San Francisco.

I guess I have had too much coffee!
