You are worth the effort.

The tragedy of 9/11 left a lot of open wounds, just eight short years ago 2996 people were murdered on US soil, shortly thereafter if you turned on the news you would have thought it never happened, they stopped showing what was done to us and were only showing what we were doing in both wars Iraq in particular, showing us being the big bad bully while forgetting to mention why we became that way. We were told in essence to just get over it, it happened, it is over so just get over it. Those same people who wanted us to just get over watching people jump from burning buildings are the ones who on a daily basis remind us of slavery, how blacks were once mistreated, how white people were the ones who did it and therefore are inherently evil.
If it is to be said that not all Muslims are evil and want to kill us, perhaps the people who have condemned the white people could at the very least admit that all white people are not racists. Just as showing the planes hitting the buildings over and over again stirs up anger and hate so does the constant harping about how the white people are keeping the black people down. The sad fact is it is the very people who are saying these things that are keeping the black people and all minorities down, with their ever present hand outs they never encourage independence, yet only offer prolonged slavery, keeping them tied down to a government who does not want them to become educated, because to become educated means to loose the chains of modern day slavery and once they have done so they don’t need them any more.
Still today the white person has to make amends for something they never did, is it possible that their ancestors owned slaves, that may be but it by no means, means that every single white person in this country is a racist, what it means is that was in the past and that is where it should stay. The longer they can force the black people to stay in the past the longer they have control over everything they do. If they receive food stamps, they are beholden to the man, if they get federal housing they are beholden to the man, everything they eat, touch or see is a product of the voluntary slavery they have placed themselves in because their ancestors were once slaves. There will be some who disagree with my analogy, but I would ask you if they are not simply slaves to the government what are they? Are the self sufficient, educated people, who think for themselves, are they a people who can do for themselves?
If at any time you give up your freedom for a check from the government they own you, they can tell you how many hours you can work, they can tell you how many times to show up for appointments and you don’t dare miss a one, because if you do the master might not give you your check. Those people who tell us to get over 9/11, and tell the black people to stay angry will never tell them to get an education or a job because they do not want to lose their slaves. But I will tell you, it is time to get past slavery, it is time to loosen the bonds of slavery and pick up that book they don’t want you to read. It is time to work together with all people and raise all people up. Stop the name calling, stop the hatred, stop the anger, and create for you and yours what the government could never give you, pride, dignity and a chance at real change. It will not be easy, nothing worth doing ever is, but you are worth the effort.
