Why must they wait for help?

While the president is out campaigning, the only thing he really seems to be good at, our brave young men are dieing in Afghanistan and from the looks of things this man could care less. I can assure you the families of Marine Lance Cpl. Cody R. Stanley, Army Sgt. Patrick O. Williamson, Army Pfc. Christopher I. Walz, Army Spc. Jared D. Stanker, Army Sgt. Issac B. Jackson, and Army Sgt. Dale R. Griffin care less who wins in New York 23 or New Jersey, what they need to know is what did their father, brother, or son die for? How much longer Mr. President? The news says your decision is weeks away, week’s away sir? How long after you finally decide to take a few minutes to consider the lives you have sent into harms way will they be deployed and how long after that till the help they need now gets there?
How long must they wait sir? What exactly is more important that giving our troops the necessary reinforcements they need, is it the healthcare bill that only you and a hand full of democrats want, perhaps cap and trade, if the American people give in to your demands sir will you then stop campaigning long enough to authorize more troops? Is this what it has come down to sir? You make demands, if we capitulate then and only then will you send the troops we need? Is this like the defense bill, the trash heap of any and all bills you cannot pass on a stand alone basis, are you letting us and the troops know just who is in charge here? We want to know, is it that you are using them to blackmail the American people, or is that you just do not care, is it that you don’t have a clue how to run a war? Or could it be you believe that sending more troops will tarnish your precious peace prize? What will it take to get you to sit down and decide whether these men and women you have fighting for us is worth sending more troops?
Every single day you stall on making a decision, people die, American soldiers die sir, and their blood is on your hands sir. You are responsible for their deaths and the deaths of anyone else who dies while waiting on the stupid elections you care more about. When our troops are dieing daily, with no hope in sight, your election campaigning is sick and pathetic and everyone knows it. You claimed to care about the troops, you said you would fight this war better and smarter, you lied Mr. President, people are dieing and a simple salute in the middle of the night with cameras snapping and news media fawning simply is not enough. How long must they wait for help, why must they wait for help?
