The Lies Keep Rolling

Liberals who email me think they are great and deep thinkers. They aren’t, but they think they are. You can also tell that very few of them actually read what I write. Most of them, it seems, are sent a note from one of their equally misinformed comrades and told to just email me claiming that I am wrong or that I said something I never do or that ignores something that has clearly been said.

Of course the hot topic right now is health care and the government control of it. Daily I get accused of not having, “any alternative,” to the current plan put forth by liberals or, “being paid off,” but the big pharma companies. As to the later I just have to say that I am sure that if I was recieving a nice check from some corporate boogieman you left wing socialists have concocted my wife would be very uspet that we are still living in this small 1,800 sq ft cape cod in suburban Pittsburgh.

As for not having any “alternative,” I think that I have spoken frequently enough about the need for less government regulation which in turn is driving up costs, the need for more competition by reducing restrictions on selling insurance across state lines (thus removing the near monoplies a few companies have in many states) as well as other “solutions” often enough that anyone who wants to find them can. My answer has always been less government not more. The response from liberals is that this is not an “alternative” even though it clearly is.

They want government control so badly and think, for some strange reason, that a government that has not been able to run Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Social Security and many other programs without massive amounts of fraud, waste and abuse can do better this time. I say let’s try something really radical and get back to more liberty and less government and to them that is not a solution because they do not see the problem.

It most certainly is a solution. But it is a solution that they do not like because it flies in the face of their own desires for more failed government programs that they can use to control the populace.

And just in case you are a liberal who doesn’t know how to find my opinions on the matter, here are just a few excerpts:

All the problems that face our current healthcare system are caused by too much government regulation and interference which restricts care, compensation, etc. (source)

That is it! It is called liberty you dullards! Don’t say that I don’t have solutions. Do you know how much more those of us who are responsible pay for our private insurance to cover those that choose not to have insurance or those on government programs which are reimbursing doctors at a fraction of their rate? Do you have any idea how much more it costs people to be covered for mandated services they do not want simply because some asinine politician has decided, often in exchange for campaign contributions from some special interest or another, has decided that you must be covered for?

We have a socialized health insurance/care system already in the purest sense of the word in that our health insurance/care system is heavily regulated and controlled by government at all levels. That is socialism and the answer to the failings of socialism is not more socialism. (source)

Meanwhile American citizens want to just fulfill the basic tenants of Capitalism. They want to acquire something and pay someone else to provide it. But they might not be able to accomplish this because government is meddling with the basic tenants of economics which states that you cannot take water from one end of the lake, carry it in a leaky bucket loosing most of it along the way, taking the occasional drink as well and then finally dump it back into the other end while hoping to raise the level of the lake. But as long as government tries this failed tactic, capitalism will never succeed.

Be honest. I have solutions. You just don’t like them and you cannot argue effectively against them so you just lie.
