The Harder They Push, The Harder They Fall

Democrats in Congress are plunging headlong into their plans to saddle all Americans with yet another unconstitutional welfare program. This time they want to control our health care and insurance and the House has already approved their version of socialized medicine. Despite poll after poll (the ones not spiked with outrageous numbers of Democrats that is) showing that Americans want smaller government with fewer services and lower taxes, the left wing Democrats continue to push for the exact opposite hoping to get enough people at the little piggy trough in order to secure their continual reelection. Polls have even shown a majority of Americans are against socialized medicine but the lemmings are running off the cliff any way.

Well, the harder the liberals in the Democratic Party push, the harder they fall in the polls. The latest Rasmussen tracking survey of the Generic Ballot shows that this week the Republicans have risen again while the Democrats have fallen, again, and that Republicans have a 6% lead over the more liberal party in Washington.

Republican candidates have stretched their lead over Democrats to six points in the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 43% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 37% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent. Republicans have held the lead for over four months now.

One can only wonder as the economy falters with more and more liberal ambivalence to the truth and as they push more and more socialism if they won’t be in negative numbers come next November and the elections that are fast approaching.
