We should have known the country was in deep doo-doo when MSNBC host Chris Matthews felt a cheap thrill run up his leg in the presence of presidential candidate Barack Obama. Matthews 
later confirmed that it wasn’t merely a passing thrill when he experienced it on at least one other occasion.
It’s sort of nice to know a journalist, (if anyone on MSNBC could reasonably be called a journalist), gets his thrills from a politician rather than from champaigne, beer, or other alcohol but it’s also more than a tad troubling.
After all, what is a journalist? Better yet, what’s a journalist supposed to be?
It seems that when reporters of old moved on to calling themselves journalists, “investigative journalists,” and “correspondents,” they became less reporters of the news than interpreters of the news and the line between reporter and commentator became blurred.
Even more blurring, especially in the face of absurd White House attacks on Fox News as not a true news channel but rather an agent of the Republican Party, is the employment by ABC News of people like George Stephanopoulis.
George may be an affable fellow but his journalistic-reporting credentials are nil, as in non-existent. Serving as a hired liar, a cover-up specialist for Bill Clinton, hardly constitutes a qualification as a news analyst or news anchor.
Anyone at ABC ever hear of objectivity, or journalistic integrity?
According to Wikipedia, “A journalist collects and disseminates information about current events, people, trends, and issues” and “Reporters are one type of journalist. They create reports as a profession for broadcast or publication in mass media.”
Based on Chris Matthews, reporters don’t get thrills but journalist-commentators do.
In any event, reporters, journalists, the mass media represent the most powerful force aiding and abetting the Democrat war on the Christian God. (See Parts I and II.)
To many on the Left, Barack Obama “is sort of God.” I didn’t manufacture that quote. They are the precise words articulated by noted Leftist, Evan Thomas, in an interview on Thrill-Up-His-Leg Matthews’ MSNBC.
To emphasize his skewed perspective, Thomas also dismisses Ronald Reagan as being “all about America,” as if that were a bad thing, at the same time he deifies Obama who shows “we are above all that now:” http://bit.ly/7pxDqf.
Thomas added that Obama “is gonna bring us all together.” That view was not evidenced by the Tea Parties, the raucous town hall meetings in August, the massive conservative March on Washington on September 12th, and the national divisiveness not seen since the Viet Nam War.
Thomas failed to mention all those demonstrations of godly togetherness achieved by our “national healer,” as the AP described Obama on November 10th.
One has to wonder “upon what meat doth this our media feed,” as Shakespeare might say, that they are leading the charge against country and God?
The New York Times’ Nicholas D. Kristof, subbing for the insufferable Paul Krugman, provided a clue in his 2003 article, “God, Satan and the Media.”
He begins with the preposterous assertion that, “Claims that the news media form a vast liberal conspiracy strike me as utterly unconvincing.” He then concedes that ”nearly all of us in the news business are completely out of touch with a group that includes 46 percent of Americans. . . evangelical or born-again Christians.”
Kristof thereby reinforced how out of touch Lefties are now and when elitist reporter Pauline Kael infamously remarked in 1972 that she was mystified how Nixon was re-elected since she knew not a soul who voted for him.
If Kristof isn’t convinced by confessions by MSM-types that they are indeed liberal-Leftists, he can’t seriously hope to ever comprehend any Christians or their faith although he pre-sages the National Healer when he concludes with Einstein’s famous reflection that, ”Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind:” http://bit.ly/4Q053a
I would add, Democrats today who deny they are at war with the Christian God are lame, blind, and hypocrites.
The first part of this series dealt with the prevailing atmosphere, attitudes, and actions of the Democrat Party in waging its undeclared war on the Christian God. The second focused on the activities of the single most committed group in that war, the gay community.
The complicity of the mass media should be as transparent as the “vast liberal conspiracy” is opaque to Nicholas D. Kristof.
It is that self-same MSM which has a propensity to bury news that substantiates the Democrat war on God at the same time it highlights and front-pages reports to the contrary.
To best serve as the foot soldiers in this conflict, the MSM has had to surrender its integrity and its purpose to present news in an unbiased, objective fashion, which it did willingly to support its own, liberal philosophies. It has become a lackey of the equally godless Obama administration, providing cover for its frequent lapses, providing publicity for its rare achievements.
If anyone doubts the existence of a Democrat war on the Christian God, please refer to Majority Leader Harry Reid’s stupendous victory in the Senate on Saturday night.
Not one Democrat failed to vote for Reid’s version of Obamacare which incorporates provisions for government/taxpayer financing for aborting innocent, pre-born human beings. 
If that’s not godless, what is?
