Terrible Terror, Terrible Terrorist: Part Three

This final installment of “Terrible Terror, Terrible Terrorist” was postponed in deference to the obsequies for the casualties conducted at Fort Hood and the commemoration of Veterans Day.  I chose not to pollute either with the evolving, sickening details surrounding the senseless Muslim murders in Texas which made the Texas Chainsaw murders almost child play.

That evolution becomes more sickening by the day.

Our president, with wife Michelle in tow, made a duty-appearance at those services on Tuesday appearing very somber as he read the names of the 13 dead, declaring them heroes, promising “the killer will be met with justice–in this world and the next.”

Obama incorporated brief and touching biographical notes on each victim, including a newlywed and a pregnant mother, whose death brought the body count to fourteen.

He lamented “the twisted logic that led to this tragedy.  But this much we do know: No faith justifies these murderous and craven acts.”

His very presidential speech omitted 2 significant references.  There was no mention of the dreaded T-word, Terrorism, nor of the suspected perpetrator of those “murderous and craven acts:” http://bit.ly/XBMIE

Obama out of pique had passed on attending the celebrations in Berlin remembering “the fall of the wall” and had postponed his jaunt to China in order to squeeze in his trip to Fort Hood but his omissions of the T-word and any reference to Hasan’s Islamic-terrorist connections were very telling.

They were in line with his efforts to play those connections down even as the facts continue to pile up.

The FBI is “reassessing” its view of Hasan and an Islamic cleric has celebrated him as a Muslim hero for killing 13 and wounding 31 Americans.  However, this oh-so-cautious president–cautious when it comes to terrorism–advises that Americans should really consider the stress factor with this mass murderer.

The stories are accumulating like kudzu in Georgia:

ABCNews.com reports that Major Hasan had a number of contacts with his mosque-buddy, Anwar al-Alalaki, who is known to advocate jihad–mass murder–against the United States.  The Army knew all about those contacts and apparently did nada: http://bit.ly/1vaG5P

(Chris Matthews brilliantly pointed out that Hasan’s contacts with Al-queda, http://bit.ly/3Xfmf, weren’t illegal.  They may have been perfectly innocent so why would anyone think otherwise?  Chris, anyone with half a brain would think otherwise.)

CNSNews.com reports that the FBI is also “reassessing” its dossier on Hasan who has “lawyered-up” after American doctors saved his sorry arse.  The FBI, too, seems to have flubbed its investigation into the major and his al Qaeda buds: http://bit.ly/1vaG5P.

(Is any of this sounding familiar, familiar as in the intel screw-ups preceding 9/11?  If not, it should.  As Yogi would say, it’s like deja vu all over again.)

Two years ago Hasan gave the military fair warning of what could lay ahead.  He departed from his subject in a speech to Army doctors at Walter Reed and instead lectured them “on Islam, homicide bombings and threats the military could encounter from Muslims conflicted about fighting against other Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan:” http://bit.ly/4l83uB

(They all heard his words but none really listened or advised the chain of command that this guy was issuing an obvious warning.)

As if it means anything in our democratic republic, the vast majority of Americans, perhaps smelling a White House whitewash, favors pursuing and investigating the slaughter at Fort Hood as “a terrorist act” rather than a mere criminal act.

According to RasmussenReports.com, some 60% of Americans are on-board with that approach, 65% favoring execution if Hasan is found guilty as charged, and 76% wanting military officers who contact known terrorist organizations banished from our armed forces: http://bit.ly/1j6OXF

Then comes the defense of Major Nidal Hasan in the personage of astute constitutional lawyer, skilled community organizer, ignoramus on foreign policy, and naive President of the United States.

See Obama’s video pushing stress, effectively a PTSD, a Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder, since Hasan had never seen deployment in a war zone, as a cause of Major Hasan’s stress relief of blowing away as many Americans as he could: http://bit.ly/1ufXj6

Gosh, when I get stressed out I tend to eat too many burritos.  When my son was 6 or so, he relieved his stress by banging his wooden toy hammer on his toy box.

When Islamic radicals are stressed they crash airliners into the Pentagon, the WTC, barren Pennsylvania fields, and commit mass murder in Texas.

Here’s a word of advice to Barack Hussein Obama:  As evidenced by recent history, radical Islam hasn’t the slightest interest in compromise or détente.

Sit down and listen to this, Mr. President: We are in a long-term war with your father’s, (and your?), people.

It’s time to stand up and declare your true allegiance.  Are you on their side or the American side?  There are only two sides.

If you’re on theirs, call a press conference and assign Rahm Emanuel to a back seat, and without your teleprompter, spill the truth.

They say the truth shall set you free.  It would also set America free from the change bondage for which it voted last year.

As I concluded in Part One of this miniseries, “Those same [Islamic] beliefs should waken America’s leader to the reality that the nation is at war, but don’t hold your breath expecting reality to register in Washington.”

Holding one’s breath waiting for President Barack Hussein Obama’s commitment to America’s safety would be a useless exercise.

As always, hope for the best but anticipate the worst.
