+30,000 Express Support for Gov. Palin, But Not News Media

(SACRAMENTO, CA) — More than 30,000 people have signed a Thanksgiving Day petition backing Gov. Sarah Palin and asking journalists to report on her more objectively.

The petition campaign is a project of the Our Country Deserves Better Committee – which has recently sponsored the Tea Party Express national tours.

“We’ve been proud supporters of Governor Palin since she appeared on the scene as a public servant and we appreciate her principled conservative stands on the important issues facing our country,” said Joe Wierzbicki, Coordinator of the Our Country Deserves Better Committee.

“This petition drive had special meaning for us, as it was one-year ago today we launched an ad campaign thanking Governor Palin at Thanksgiving.  Here we are one year later still finding it important to rally behind her and stand up for her in the face of so many smear campaigns by those who seek to weaken or destroy her political standing,” Wierzbicki said.

Here are the “Thank You Sarah Palin” ads produced by the Our Country Deserves Better Committee:
