Muhammed Bites the Dust
Gene Lalor | November 12, 2009
The “Beltway Sniper” is no longer with us. Nor are the 10 innocent people John Allen Muhammed
chose to eliminate from the face of the Earth seven years ago.
As has been pointed out, Muhammed had the opportunity to bid his final farewells to those near and dear to him.
His slain victims, at best, were able to say things like, “Bye, I’m going out shopping/to work/to visit Aunt Milly,” and that was about it. They never returned. The three who survived the shootings were luckier and only have to live the rest of their lives with the memories.
Just over 24 hours ago, denied a final mercy and as hand-wringers over capital punishment were in full force outside the Greenville Correctional Facility in Virginia, the emotionless Muhammed was peacefully dismissed into eternal sleep by lethal injection.
None of the anti-capital punishment demonstrators cited the pain and misery suffered by the innocents who were picked off by Muhammed as if he and his young assistant assassin, Lee Boyd Malvo, were shooting rats in an alley.
Some of his victims’ friends and relatives were also in attendance.
In a letter to an ex-wife, Muhammed failed to demonstrate any of the remorse his lawyer said he felt. “I don’t want to be missed the day that these devils murder my innocent black ass,” he wrote, http://bit.ly/3YUjCp, thereby invoking the oft-heard, hollow defense of racism.
On the way to Hell he should fear not. Neither those “devils” nor any other thinking person will miss him.
Real devils will be welcoming him with open arms and pitchforks.
Good riddance!
