Boehner pushes for war-strategy decision

The top House Republican on Sunday pressed President Obama for a decision on whether to send more troops to war in Afghanistan, saying the muddled runoff election there should not further delay a strategy review that already has dragged out for months. A top White House adviser, meanwhile, insisted that former Afghan Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah’s withdrawal from next weekend’s election won’t complicate Mr. Obama’s evolving war plan.
