That classic image of Uncle Sam forcefully advising draft-aged young men and all Americans to support the war effort 
actually dated back to the First World War.
It has been superseded in the Age of Obama with the Orwellian image of Big Obama Brother cautioning the citizens of Oceania to be on their toes because he’s watching every move they make. 
Orwell’s Big Brother presided over Oceania’s unending wars with Eurasia and Eastasia but the Obama Big Bro isn’t concerned with war and certainly isn’t perturbed by any war on terrorism since terrorism doesn’t exist.
His designs involve waging battle against the minds, hearts, spirits, and freedoms of his subjects.
And Obama’s Big Brother isn’t kidding!
Cross Obama’s version of Big Bro or make the Obamassiah cross in any manner, shape, or form, and your arse will be grass and either the Executive Branch or one of its congressional minions will take you out.
Or, try to.
For example:
Papists, Beware! The Catholic Church had the impertinence to challenge Obama’s lies on the inclusion of abortion coverage in Obamacare. As a consequence of its insolence, it’s in the cross hairs of Obama’s Big Bro!
The Church was more politic than Rep. Joe Wilson and didn’t confront the president on national television by validly charging, “You lie!” and simply apprised Obama that it begged to disagree on what Obamacare included.
That was enough for congressional lackey, Lynn Woolsey, (D, CA), 
to threaten those insolent papists with revocation of the I.R.S. tax-exempt status of the Catholic Church.
It’s a toothless threat since even Leftists wouldn’t, yet, dare try the gambit of denying tax-exemption to Catholics when it’s afforded to the extremely political United Church of Christ of Jeremiah Wright and to other overtly and extreme political-liberal churches.
Woolsey more precisely was targeting the USCCB, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops which has taken off the gloves on the abortion issue in Obamacare and has doggedly defended the Right to Life, a fundamental principle of the Catholic Church.
“Woolsey–who co-chairs the Congressional Progressive Caucus–said the USCCB should have stayed out of the legislative process: ‘The role the bishops played in the pushing of the Stupak amendment, which unfairly restricts access for low-income women to insurance coverage of abortion, was more than mere advocacy:’ ” http://bit.ly/39cugU
Rep. Woolsey would love to have said: “Shut your ignorant mouths and do and believe what you’re told to do and believe!”
Incidentally, the Stupak amendment was passed as a temporary sop to anti-abortionists, pending its removal by the Democratic majority.
Also incidental is that Woolsey surely knows her ploy is just a scam designed to intimidate and put all conservatives on notice that Obama’s Big Brother is watching intently and, should they cross the line again, like her namesake, Cardinal Thomas Woolsey, it would be off with their heads, their tax exemption, or both.
The Internet is free and unecumbered, but only for now! Suppose you hosted an independent online news site and one day Obama’s Justice Department came a-rapping at your web door.
“Excuse me,” says the DOJ knocker, “but would you please provide your government with details on just who visits your website, who they are, their IP addresses, what they say, and what they want.
“Oh, and by the way, let’s just keep this inquiry between us, between you and the DOJ, a secret, ok? Why make it public? We have a federal subpoena so you have no choice anyway.”
Such was the Sophie’s “choice” for Indymedia.us when confronted with Obama’s Big Bro’s DOJ storm troopers under the guidance of Big Bro-designee Attorney General Eric Holder.
The gag order was especially bothersome–and unusual.
The Independent Media Center, a leftist group advocating for social change, re-prints articles from various sources and a spokeswoman was bewildered over what could have provoked a criminal federal subpoena with such wide-ranging invasions of internet privacy and freedom.
The flawed subpoena was contested and subsequently withdrawn but the question remains as to what the DOJ’s intent was and why Holder–who was supposed to approve it, by law–ignored certain subpoena restrictions.
What did they want to know and why did they want to know it?

Pssst, you want a job? Become a Democrat: Political payoffs have been an integral feature of American politics since before Andrew Jackson. Now the Obamians have added a new twist: If you got your job from George W. Bush, you’re out no matter your qualifications.
Forget when the Dems got their panties in a wad after the election of Bush II. Following Clinton I’s lead, Dubya sent U.S. attorneys packing in 2001 in order to appoint his own choices, as was his privilege, yet the other side of the aisle erupted as if he had just shot Nancy Pelosi.
“No fair, you stinkers! How dare you do what we do and what has always been done! We’re going to investigate you! So, there!”
Appointing new federal attorneys has long been the prerogative of new presidents–until 2001, when Democrats went ballistic and grabbed their pitchforks and torches, hypocritically demanding everything from impeachment to incarceration to castration for the impertinence of a Republican president’s exercising the same rights as a Democrat.
Fast forward to January 20, 2009.
Retroacting 5 years, if you became employed in the federal burearacacy since then, you will be added to that 10.2% unemployment figure which, Obama said, wouldn’t exceed 8%.
In government gobbledegook, any Bush Era fed employee who “careered in” will be purged out.
As Redstate.com’s Erick Erickson put it, “no one is allowed to stand in the way of Barack Obama’s agenda, including his own bureaucracy. This is what happens in third world kleptocracies and totalitarian regimes. . . this is scary stuff:” http://bit.ly/1VO2o1
But, fear not, Americans, Obama’s Big Brother is watching out for you, unless you’re a Catholic, a conservative blogger, or a Bush-era Republican.
If you’re all three, sell the house, wife, kids, build a bomb shelter, and get ready for 2012. Or, become a Democrat, which would be worse.
Above all, remember that the Obamian Big Brother may not like you but he will always love you.
