What else we have missed…
Carolyn Hileman

The devil is in the details my dear departed Mother would always say and as usual she is right, while we were focusing on the bigger picture of the massive healthcare bill governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed legislation to track the sale of bullets in California today and signed the Harvey Milk bill designating May 22nd as Harvey Milk day for public students. Beginning next summer gun dealers will be required to keep a record of people purchasing bullets including their thumb print, they will not be allowed to buy over the internet as any bullets purchased over the internet must be delivered only to a place of business. If that does not send shivers down the spine of every gun owner in America I do not know what will. As for Harvey, the students in public schools will be required to learn about this man whether it is against their beliefs or not, it is law.

California has always been a bit strange, but the fact is as we have seen over the years if one state passes a law and is not openly castigated for it, soon other states follow them until all of the states have the same laws. It is not surprising that this would fly so low below the radar as it made news on the day that a republican turncoat named Olympia Snowe signed on to the healthcare bill and it is now out of committee, most everyone is watching that in shock and horror as it has been made very clear the people do not want this bill. But the fact is, while we were focusing all our attention on that they were able to sneak these two by us, makes you wonder what else we have missed…
