This time it is not business as usual…
Carolyn Hileman

Just a note to those politicians still out there who even bother to wonder what the American people think. This election and every single one after will not be business as usual anymore… Just because the republican or democrat party backs you as a candidate, it does not mean by a long shot that the people will. We have been watching and we don’t like what we have been seeing and we plan to fix that. You see, we happen to know that there are qualified people living among us who can and will do a better job of listening to the people and doing their will. As a matter of fact, right now being the chosen one from any party could be your downfall.

We are not creating a new party, nope, and to be honest with you taking over either existing party does not look to good right now either. So what will we do? It is very simple, we will investigate fully any and all candidates, we will scour their records, we want to talk to them, we want to know what people like about them and we want to know what people do not like about them. Your billion dollar ad campaigns are going to be a big waste of money, we do not want to hear what the other candidate did that you don’t like, we want to hear what it is you plan to do different and we do not want platitudes we want drawn out detailed plans.

You can keep your old worn out campaign slogans I do believe if we hear change you can believe in one more time there will be an ominous loud sound of thousands upon thousands of people regurgitating. Nope, we want you to tell us, get this, the truth, who are you, why should we care who you are, what do you think you can do to fix the economy, if the healthcare plan manages to pass will you repeal it and any other junk legislation they manage to weasel through? Can you walk up to people hold your hand out and shake their hands like you would really like to get to know them, can you spare a few minutes of your busy day just to talk to the people and after you have listened to them will you be able to go to Washington and take them with you, because if you can’t we will not be sending you.

Those of you still hoping to keep your job, you might want to come off of your high horse and speak to the people, not those cute town hall’s either where you talk and everyone else listens, nope, you need to do some listening and you need to do it fast. Conservatives, we know you cannot stop votes right now but you have a voice use it, raise some hell about the troops being used to blackmail votes for bills that no one wants, stand up and be counted, let us hear from you. Democrats, those of you who were voted in because you were as close to conservative as the people could get, your no vote counts and do not believe that we will not be watching that very closely because we will. We do not need talk, we need action, we do not need whining we need leaders and we will have what we want in 2010, because this time it is not business as usual…
