Tea Party Express Celebrates Withdrawal of Scozzafava from NY 23rd Congressional race.

(ON THE ROAD FROM WASHINGTON STATE) — GOP candidate Dede Scozzafava has dropped out of the New York 23rd Congressional race.  The Tea Party Express had recently endorsed Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman, and supported his run for Congress with financial support and radio ad campaign.

“The GOP got this one wrong, plain and simple.” Said Mark Williams, Vice Chair of the Tea Party Express.  “This new development shows that the Tea Party Movement is now coming into its own in terms of influence and relevance.  We have said all along that our fight was over principles, not party affiliation.  Conservative candidates like Hoffman have our support and we fully expect to see him take this congressional seat.”

The Tea Party Express is in the middle of its second national tour hosting Tea Party rallies across the country that encourage attendees to support conservative candidates for office.
