Poor President Obama, no matter how hard he tries (and how hard others try to boost him up) he just keeps falling flat on his face. Hot on the heals of Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize for words and no concrete accomplishments and his vision of a world without nuclear weapons, Russia has done an important thing. The still paranoid country has shown that granting such an award without actual accomplishment is pointless.
Yes, as the left is swooning over Barack Obama’s plans and even using his recent award as some sick justification for their continued adoration of him. But remember Yasser Arafat got the award too. While all this is going on Russia is telling the world that they retain the right to use preemptive nuclear attacks against their foes!
MOSCOW (AP) – A top Russian security official says Moscow reserves the right to conduct pre-emptive nuclear strikes to safeguard the country against aggression on both a large and a local scale, according to a newspaper interview published Wednesday.
Presidential Security Council chief Nikolai Patrushev also singled out the U.S. and NATO, saying Moscow’s Cold War foes still pose potential threats to Russia despite what he called a global trend toward local conflicts.
Hmmm. Ok so it is NATO that posses a threat to Russia? This as it is Russia that is invading its neighbors? Hey, they’re leftists … up is down and black is white to them. I am trying to figure out the last time it was the United States or the other members of NATO that invaded Russia or their allies. Ok … well there was Iraq and the Russian were selling weapons and other junk to Saddam … but if that is the “allies” that Russia has is that really a spot of encouragement as to Russia being a reasonable country to deal with? And they are defending Iran to the hilt too. Ok … not exactly sparkling company there old bear!
It the continuation of Russian paranoia is what it is. Russia is still struggling despite being a nation with rich national resources. The country has not been able to ditch its Soviet Era ways and is, by many accounts, back sliding. So it is no surprise to seem them concocting enemies again.
It’s leftist versus leftist on the world stage, Obama versus the Russian Bear, in a death match to see which leftist will be left standing. By the looks of things it will be whomever still has the nukes and since Obama wants to get rid of ours … well … odds are good for Russia unless America can hang on for another year or two until the liberals are out of power.
