There is perhaps one group that annoys me more than liberals. And no, they are not anarchists. Although the anarchists do certainly annoy me too; just not as much as liberals because no one takes the anarchists seriously except the other anarchists. No, the group that annoys me more that liberals are the liberaltarians. Note that I said liberaltarian … not libertarian. I actually love libertarians. Well, true libertarians anyway because they are conservatives. But they are so hard to find. What we instead find most often are a bunch of would be libertarians who either are anarchists or these liberaltarians trying desperately to pass them off as something they are not and who could not live a true libertarian lifestyle if it were presented to them.
A libertaltarian is a liberal who is so delusional that they believe that they are a libertarian. Two perfect examples of this are Chris and Cary Daniel who are actually suing their former neighbor for daring to smoke in her own house!

Yes, this is typical for the liberaltarians. They want their own liberty but they don’t want anyone else to have theirs. That is why they are worse than liberals who at least do not believe that anyone should have any ounce of liberty. The story in the Dallas News recounts the tale of these two nitwits who actually think that their rights trump other people’s rights – a philosophy that is neither libertarian nor American. Their defense is laughably the old libertarian saying that one has the right to swing one’s fist all they want until they hit someone else in the nose. The problem? They themselves have hit someone else in the nose!
Here is the summary of events. Apparently Cary and Chris are very sensitive to cigarette smoke. Knowing this they moved into a housing complex that allowed smoking. Which is a big old strike one against their claim for damages. They did not buy this property. They were merely renting it so they were not tied to the property long term. This is important as it comes up again later on in the story. Later a neighbor who smokes moved in next door and their complaint is that the smoke from this neighbor’s house migrated through the wall of their townhome and caused them discomfort and damage to their property inside. However, strike two against these two comes when they actually renewed their lease AFTER they complained. Rather than move, again remember they are only renting and do not actually own the property so that would not have been that big of a deal, they got a judge to issue a restraining order to prevent their neighbor from smoking in her own house! Strike three and the death of their libertarian façade.
Now Cary and Chris are whining and having finally moved are seeking damages from the neighbor that they have swung their own fist and struck in her nose by preventing her from partaking of her own liberty. See the obvious problems here? Any true libertarian does. In fact everything they are doing is so anti-libertarian that they look foolish for making their defense based on the libertarian concept of the swinging fist.
Liberty, my dear, deluded liberaltarians, does not prohibit you from discomfort in your lives. Had you really believed in the swinging fist analogy you would not have renewed your lease and moved at the first opportunity. Yeah, it might have cost you some money to do so but like I said, liberty does not say that you will not have to spend your own treasure in pursuit of your happiness. Pursuing happiness while harming other people’s liberty is liberalism/socialism. And you two have done just that.
This case is frivolous and these two should be thrown out of the courthouse with laughter behind them. In fact they should be thrown in jail for harassing their former neighbor with such specious claims. Next time, if smoking bothers you so much then DO NOT move into a place that allows it! What is next you two yummy brains? Finding a bar that allows smoking and then going in for a drink and complaining that your rights were violated yet again when you can no longer stand to be in that environment? I know … I shouldn’t give people like this that are nothing more than money grubbers any ideas because no matter how stupid the idea is the chance that they will see it as a good idea is pretty high.

That’s Communists, not Liberals. They aren’t the same thing.
You’d be annoyed if Liberals refused to see to differences between Conservatives and Libertarians, so get it right.
One Little Victory, you are trying to be too cute by half. I suppose since you don’t have a real rebuttal that this is the best that could be expected.
“Liberals” is a generic term that applies to a variety of left wing ideologies including communism, socialism, fascism, Nazism (national socialism) and so on. Look at what liberals are promoting currently with regards to national health care which would be payed for for some by others. That is precisely the to each according to their needs from each according to their means that is communism.
As for differences between conservatives and libertarians, there is none because conservative is a generic term like liberal that encompasses libertarians.

As a libertarian myself I can also say that conservatives and us are the same. Those fake libertarians that run the Libertarian Party and that don’t believe in defending the liberty of all mankind and who support the murdering of babies are as J.J. stated a lot of liberaltarians themselves.
Remember One Little Victory it was a long time candidate for president on the Socialist Party ticket who proudly declared that he no longer needed to run because the Democratic Party (liberals) had fully adopted socialist ideals. It is also the liberal Democratic Party who hosts the “progressive” caucus among its members.
Then all you have to do is look at what the Democrats promote compared to the socialists and communists. Universal health care? Check. Big labor and forced unionization? Check. Expanding government into every area of our lives? Check check check.
Do not delude yourself by believing that liberals are not in league with the communists.
That quote by Norman Thomas about Democrats having adopted socialism therefore he no longer needs to run has always been in question. The problem is that it was presumed to be made at a time before mass media and cameras were everywhere. Reagan however did cite it and it was pretty much common knowledge that it had been said. Again however no one really covered crack pots like Thomas and there weren’t video cameras everywhere.
I always like to remind “liberals” who think they are not socialists/communists that they sure have a lot of them in their ranks. Maxine Waters proudly stated (or almost proudly stated before she caught herself and stopped) that she wanted to socialize industry and Bernie Sanders (as self professed socialist) is allowed to caucus with the the Democrats in Congress.
You are known by the company you keep even if you will not proudly admit to it.
