McDonnell outraises Deeds in Va.

Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate Robert F. McDonnell has outraised Democrat R. Creigh Deeds this month and has nearly twice as much cash left for the final week of the campaign, according to finance reports filed Monday. Mr. McDonnell raised $4 million, giving him $1.8 million cash on hand, while Mr. Deeds raised $3.1 million and has just under $1 million remaining. The records, posted by the nonprofit Virginia Political Access Project, covered the first three weeks of October and showed that the candidates continue to collect large donations from many familiar supporters.
