RSSJesse Dirkhising Would Be 23

For those not familiar with the name Jesse Dirkhising, that’s no surprise. He was never a media favorite like Matthew Shepard even though the two met similar fates.
The chief differences are that Jesse was a child of 13. Matthew was a young man of 21. Jesse’s vicious murder was committed by two pedophiles, sadistic animals who also tortured and repeatedly raped him. Matthew was killed by 2 drugged up drunks in a robbery.
Oh, there was another difference: Jesse 
was a totally innocent, heterosexual victim and Matthew, 
a homosexual, was picked up in a Wyoming tavern before he was robbed, beaten, and left to die tied to a frozen fencepost.
Both were horrendous crimes but for some inexplicable reason, we now have a hate crime law commemorating the life of Matthew Shepard, a man, and only a tombstone to remember Jesse Dirkhising, a child. 
Why the disparity in recognition?
Ask the mainstream media which chose either to treat Jesse’s horrific murder as a mere random aberration–which it wasn’t–or chose to ignore it altogether, and to honor Matthew as a cause celebre’ because he is some kind of hero–which he wasn’t.
Rumor has it that the hate crime law passed in his name was passed because in our increasingly gay-dominated culture Matthew was honored simply because he was gay.
We all know that homosexuals on the prowl in bars are far more sympathetic figures than defenseless children, right?
At least that’s the mindset of our very liberal mainstream media, our MSM, which hypes crimes against gays at the same time it minimizes gay-predator murders of innocent children.

That last link includes a third ugly story of murder and torture committed by a homosexual against a hetero, Jason Shepherd.
Jason was a young man with a surname name similar to Matthew’s, two years older than Matthew, and from the same MidWest area.
As I wrote in that article, “Jason was just a naive kid . . . who suffered an awful death from anyone’s perspective. Was his murder any less sad and needless and ignominious than the murder of Matthew? Apparently so since the national media have ignored his murder even if Jason’s was even more reprehensible.”
If there’s an answer to this media duality I don’t understand it: A gay victim of violence becomes a vaunted poster child for a cause and stories of heterosexual victims of gays are relegated to newsroom wastebaskets because their fellow straights don’t feel they need posters?
What I do know is that it’s long past time for our MSM to strive for some balance in covering such crimes before the public starts thinking that the MSM has a biased, homosexual agenda.
The good news is that Kevin Jennings, confessed homosexual, pedophilia enabler and Obama’s “safe schools czar” is on the job.
May Jesse Dirkhising, Jason Shepherd, and Matthew Shepard all rest in peace and may the MSM learn that its job is reporting what happens and not editorializing with its slanted selection of the news.
