New York Governor David Paterson is really in trouble in the State. The Obama administration’s plan to limit pay for executives at companies that took bailout funds (something I warned you would happen even though many of you doubted me!) threatens to strip millions of dollars in tax revenue from his state and the Governor is none too pleased about that. It’s lib versus lib and they are eating their own!
But don’t worry! The Gov’s got a plan to make it all better – force residents to buy a new license plate.
Yes, whether you need one or not the State wants to make residents purchase a new plat to raise revenues.
Ah, yes, always looking out for the little people the liberals are. Knowing that they cannot possibly get away with higher taxes, they are just going to make it mandatory that you pay a fee to fill their coffers. But hey, at least it isn’t a tax increase right? Be thankful for that.
The liberals say but it will only be $25 … like that makes it ok for the government to 1) force people to buy new plates when they are not needed and 2) waste resources to make unneeded plates and replace perfectly good ones? Guess he is just taking Obama’s cue on this one. After all, Obama wants to force all Americans to buy health insurance so why can’t Paterson force people to buy new license plates?
Liberalism on display here folks. And you will submit or suffer their wrath.
