RSSChavez Keeps Showing How The Left Thinks

Venezuelan “president” Hugo Chavez is a nutcase. Except in his own mind. In his own mind he is a glorious and kind leader. However that does not change the fact that he is indeed a nutcase. And as a nutcase, and a leftist nutcase as well, he keeps showcasing exactly how the left thinks which is that your stuff is their stuff and you will never, ever deny them access to your/their stuff.
Just the other day Hugo seized another piece of private property in Venezuela. This time it was the Hilton on Margarita Island. And why? What was their “crime?” Nothing excepting daring to not understand that socialists do not believe in property being in private hands.
Get this …
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said he seized the landmark Hilton hotel on Margarita Island because its owners dared to impose conditions on its use by his government to host a summit there last month.
“To hold the conference we had to ask for permission… and the owners tried to impose conditions on the revolutionary government. No way,” said Chavez.
“So I said, ‘Let’s expropriate it.’ And now it’s been expropriated.”
Ha! How … uh … Soviet? NAZI? Fascist? Oh, what the hey … we’ll just call it Liberal and cover all those bases.
How dare they request that the dear leader, delusional as he is, ask permission to use their property! Such would be far too beneath Hugo’s massive ego it seems.
But it gets better. See, the problem with liberals like Chavez is that they cannot keep their story straight!
The seizure was billed as part of an “urgent” effort to boost “the social development side of the tourism and hotel industries in Nueva Esparta state.”
Well which is it Hugo? Did they offend you or do you really think that your pathetic little government, which is collapsing like all dictatorships do, could actually run a business better than the private sector? I have no doubt that it is indeed the first reason. The second is just the opiate he is attempting to feed to the masses to make his heavy handed regime look like it cares about something other than its own power.
