When George W. Bush proclaimed during the 2000 presidential campaign that Jesus Christ was his “favorite philosopher,” he was roundly chastised by America’s left wingers for intruding religion into politics.
Bush would also as a matter of course end his speeches with, “May God continue to bless the United States,” another horrific violation of the leftist-inspired, false issue of separation of church and state.
All Thomas Jefferson meant when he wrote of a “wall of separation” in an 1802 letter was that this nation would and should never have an official state religion. We had escaped the state Church of England by our revolution and weren’t about to re-establish a national religion.
In the interests of full disclosure, I’m not a big fan of our current president, for sundry reasons, as regular visitors to this site would know. I have also questioned his religion.
I caught a lot of flak last year from friend and foe alike for suggesting the man wasn’t all he seemed. We all know appearances can be deceiving and Obama was always careful to present a pleasant facade.
In order to win the presidency, he had to appear non-threatening, a proverbial man of the people, open to all ideas, open to all races and religions.
With the aid and abettance of the MSM, he deftly skirted all negative issues and questionable associations with committed domestic terrorists such as his good buddy Bill Ayers and committed racist America-haters such as his pastor and moral compass, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Along the way in his campaign of deception and since his election, the gaffe-prone Obama has let slip though his opaque facade some very telling commentary, slipped probably when his trusty teleprompter wasn’t guiding his words.
Last year, those of us who opposed Obama and made mention of his multiple ties to Islam were chided for even citing his middle, Arabic, name. At his inauguration, demonstrating his pride in that name he chose to include it during his swearing-in.
That was fine. Being proud of one’s name is praiseworthy.

Obama says he is a Christian and points to 20 years sitting in the pews of Wright’s Trinity United Church, his marriage and the baptisms of his 2 daughters in that church.
Just as Oprah Winfrey, the Obamas abandoned Trinity, Oprah because of Wright’s incendiary sermons, Obama because he was embarrassed into leaving.
Frankly, I don’t care whether he is a true Christian or a Buddhist, a Taoist, a member of the First Church of the Gooey Death and Discount House of Worship, or a Muslim.
What mostly matters is truth, honesty, and sincerity. I suspect our president hasn’t been truthful, honest, or sincere in his religious professions.

Lamon believes “the proof is in the pudding.” 
Lamon believes that 10 minute video reveals Obama to be a deep-dyed Muslim whose repeated praise for “the holy Qur’an” and all things Muslim, denial that America is a Christian nation, bowing to a Saudi king, and vowing that “America will never be at war with Islam” are pudding-proof positive of the president’s true thinking.
I suggest the viewer judge for himself whether the clips reflect mere diplomatic blather or Obama’s sincere attachment.
Then count on the fingers of one hand how often the president has heaped praise on Jesus Christ and Christians and Christianity and contrast the frequency with which he has extolled Islam, Muslims, Islamic culture, and their influence on America.
Video clips can always be excerpted out of context to support almost any point of view. However, if Obama’s deep feelings toward Islam aren’t transparent in that melange then the video editor must have been a genius.
If it looks like a swine, oinks like a swine, smells like a swine, most likely it is a swine.
If a president is a liar, he should be treated as a swine.
George W. Bush may have been a dolt at times but at least we knew he didn’t worship Allah as his god.
No man can delve into the soul of another human being but if America in fact has a Muslim or even an Islamic sympathizer as its leader in the midst of a worldwide struggle against Islamic jihadists, it will be recorded as the ultimate historical irony.
