Glenn Beck has led an interesting, tumultuous life to date and will no doubt have interesting tumult over his remaining years. Unfortunately for the left wingers in this country, he’s only 45 so he should be around to confound lefties for many years.
Please God!
Like Rush Limbaugh, Beck started out as a DJ, moved around a lot until he found his niche as a wildly popular radio political/social commentator at WFLA in Tampa in 2000.
Syndicated by 2002, it was then he may have caught the leftist ear. The left was definitely paying attention by 2008 when Beck’s show ranked 4th in the country with 6 1/2 million regular listeners. Glenn was sitting in the catbird seat.
While continuing his nationally sydicated radio program, he moved on to his own successful CNN show, spots on ABC, and last January hooked up with Fox News.
Truly in his element now, with 5 best selling books under his belt, Beck had reached stardom and capitalized on that status by organizing The 9/12 Project and the Taxpayer March on Washington last Saturday.
Along his rocky road to near the top of the heap, Beck has been demonized almost as often as Limbaugh and over a much shorter time span.
The nitwit “comedienne,” Wanda Sykes at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in May cracked up Obama when she cracked the witty “joke” that she hoped Limbaugh would die of kidney failure. Turns out, that lib witticism was only mildly offensive contrasted with what has been spewed about Beck.
Crazed out of his mind by Beck’s success and unrestrained expression of libertarian/conservative beliefs and values, lib radical talk show host Mike Malloy took political commentary a step further into the sewer.
He ranted on August 4th, ”I have a good news to report; Glenn Beck appears closer to suicide–I’m hoping that he does it on camera; suicide is rampant in his family, and given his alcoholism and his tendencies towards self-destruction, I am only hoping that when Glenn Beck does put a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, that it will be on television, because somebody will capture it on YouTube and it will be the most popular video for months:” http://bit.ly/gkY1X
It usually doesn’t get much uglier than that, even with libs although the stench of Malloy’s sincere wish is only the worst of leftist diatribes against Beck.
Many things about Glenn Beck have driven the left to rabid distraction. There have been suicides in the Beck clan and Glenn has contemplated offing himself, as well as admitting to struggling with booze and drugs.
But, if it’s not an insult to bottom feeders, bottom-feeding Malloy dug way beneath the bottom with that remark.
The depth of liberal compassion always amazes.
They would probably say that Beck deserves no compassion.
After all, he did help organize that D.C. march that so embarrassed the president that Obama fled to the Mid West to give a speech. And he did out that great patriot, Van Jones, and ultimately caused Mr. Jones to resign in the middle of the night, didn’t he? http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=1205.
Well, yes, he did, in both cases, both cases which postdated Malloy’s vomit.
So, why is Glenn Beck being persecuted by America’s left wing? The answer is pretty simple: Beck represents everything the left fails to comprehend:
. Beck is a religious man committed to Christianity and Christian values;
. Beck is a family man, dedicated to his second wife and four kids;
. Beck is a politically conservative man, opposed to virtually everything Obama favors, especially Obamacare;
. Beck loves his country and is deeply fearful that Obama is heading the nation toward bankruptcy, socialism, and more terrorist attacks;
. And, perhaps the worst truth that sticks in the leftist craw, Beck at 45, is the natural successor to the bane of liberal existence for the last 20 years, the 57 year old Limbaugh.
Glenn Beck got his life together some ten years ago. It won’t happen until they destroy him via their latest gambit, a boycott of his advertisers, but isn’t it time that leftists get their lives together, get off his back, and wake up and smell reality.
What the left hates most, after conservatism, is sincerity and Beck is brimful of that quality.
