Note To Obama – Even AP Says It Is A Tax!
J.J. Jackson | September 22, 2009
Yesterday I talked about how Obama is going to great lengths to rewrite the definitions of words that are just a little too inconvenient for him. One of those words is of course the word “tax”. See, in the fairy tale world that Obama lives, in which I think based on observations is even further to the left than Liberal La La Land where most leftists reside, government mandated fees are not taxes even though that is precisely the definition of what a tax is!
Tax: “a charge usually of money imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes” (source: Webster’s Dictionary)
But despite this inconvenient truth President Obama still talked down to Geroge Stephanopoulos when he pointed out the actually definition of the word to the messiah. In his typical Big Brutha Knows Best condescending tone Obama slyly replied, “No. That’s not true. I absolutely reject that notion.” Well, this might be news to the Socialist in Chief, but just because you deny something does not make it not real. Yes, I know you are the savior of the world in you own mind, but reality still rules no matter how many sighing and fainting followers you have just hoping to touch the hem of your garment as you walk by.
Even the Associated Press has called out the President. That is how bad it has gotten!
FACT CHECK: Obama says insurance mandate is not a tax, but legislation says otherwise
WASHINGTON (AP) — Memo to President Barack Obama: It’s a tax. Obama insisted this weekend on national television that requiring people to carry health insurance — and fining them if they don’t — isn’t the same thing as a tax increase. But the language of Democratic bills to revamp the nation’s health care system doesn’t quibble. Both the House bill and the Senate Finance Committee proposal clearly state that the fines would be a tax.
And the reason the fines are in the legislation is to enforce the coverage requirement.
“If you put something in the Internal Revenue Code, and you tell the IRS to collect it, I think that’s a tax,” said Clint Stretch, head of the tax policy group for Deloitte, a major accounting firm. “If you don’t pay, the person who’s going to come and get it is going to be from the IRS.”
Ooooo … even the AP is turning on Obama. More invites to the White House to basket in his glory may not be forth coming. And to put the cherry on top of this delicious Sunday of truth the AP also points out that during the campaign Obama opposed mandatory coverage. Yeah, and everyone bought that lie too because the media was too busy fawning over Barack Obama to actually report that for his entire political career he had been in favor of a forced single payer system.
The messiah is not amused at his lies not being taken as gospel.
