The Brothers Emanuel Part Two: Rahm, the Jewish Himmler

If Ezekiel Emanuel is Obama’s Josef Mengele, then Rahm Emanuel is his Heinrich Himmler.  Dr. Mengele was Hitler’s “Angel of Death,” Himmler   his architect of merciless devastation and the Holocaust. 

As Obama’s Chief of Staff and Senior Aide to the President, a heady position often termed the second most powerful in Washington, Rahm is charged with the duties of choosing and supervising the White House staff, determining who gets access to the president, and managing the flow of information the president sees and hears.

Above all, his responsibility is protecting the president’s interests and in that role he has great latitude in this administration, enabling him to set policy and to execute whatever measures as necessary to CTPA, Cover The President’s Ass.

There’s no doubt he’s been brutally efficient in the execution of his office, even if events and situations out of his close control have already tarnished the carefully-scripted Obama mystique.

Rahm Emanuel   is not your average man or average chief of staff, a comment which would feed his insatiable ego and quest for power, even if it is not meant to be complimentary.

With a given name meaning “high or lofty” and a surname meaning “God is with us” in Hebrew, Rahm has taken that symbolism literally. 

As he has smirked his way through life, first in summer camps in Israel, as a soldier in the Israeli Army, as an activist in Chicago “public interest groups,” as an aide to Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, and as congressman from Illinois’ 5th CD, he well earned his nickname of “Rahm-bo,” not for his vigilante courage but for his viciousness. 

The United Jewish Communities website hailed as a badge of honor his impertinence as a freshman congressman and, especially, his disgusting and unhygienic mailing of “a rotting fish to a former coworker after the two parted ways:” http://bit.ly/134bpx. 

I guess we all have different views of honor.

Known for his mobster tactics learned at the knee of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, Rahm has “discussed” issues with disgraced Illinois Governor Blagovitch, http://bit.ly/BeeHV, has manipulated and intimidated Dem “blue dogs” into voting for Obama’s unstimulating stimulus,  http://bit.ly/6OuPW, and, as for the Israeli view of both fellow Jew, Rahm, and non-Jew Obama, that’s somewhere between dismal and atrocious: http://bit.ly/hKU97.

Precisely how Rahm Emanuel has been influential in Obama’s abortion, foreign, and health care policies is as yet undetermined. 

My guess is that if he didn’t craft them, he certainly directed them as any good chief of staff should. 

Rahm and Ezekiel Emanuel make one helluva team:  The former undermines our national values and future, the latter wants to kill us when we become burdensome.

Either way, America loses.  Talk about a “Sophie’s Choice!”
