Reader Comments on the More Negative Side

In all fairness, the following are less than complimentary comments on my articles.  I post them in recognition of the axiom that one must always consider the source.

Who was it that said, “Genius borders on Insanity”. Phil Spector had the millions to pay for his defense and he got a hung jury in his first trial. His luck ran out at his second trial. He shouldn’t be treated a someone special.

I know of an island in the Pacific that you would be quite happy on. No government, no people who will be trying to commit a conspiracy against you. You can do whatever you want on the island. Good bye!!

The “death panels” still exist. If Sec. 1233 is scrapped, all it means is that the death panel won’t be able to shift blame for denying coverage to the people to whom coverage was denied. Getting Sec. 1233 out is small potatoes to the bigger goal of BO and the dems – to take control of 1/6th of the American economy and to decide who lives and dies.

Please explain to me how any of these are “honesty” or “sincere”:Your attacks on the end-of-life-care coverage that mis-characterize it as “rationed care for the elderly”.

Your attacks on abortion coverage (which is probably already covered by your current insurance company, and is currently legal under most state laws).

Your calling the plan a “single-payer plan” when it most certainly is not.

Your claims that the solution to the problem is solely “tort reform”. A point for which GOP leaders have repeatedly failed to demonstrate examples evidencing significant widespread financial loss.

It’s called a mirror. Look in it every once in awhile.

America’s economy is sickly for the same reason Russia’s was at the collapse of the USSR–massive military spending. The right wonders why we can’t seriously cut taxes, the left wonders why we can’t afford a social democracy like those in western Europe. The answer to either question is the same: America’s ongoing military obligations and adventures in every corner of the globe. We could have a small government, we could have a welfare state, but we’ll never have either as long as we keep ourselves armed for the world war against Communism that will now certainly never come. This red-baiting fantasy is a relic of the last century, and so are America’s budget priorities.

Dumb. You start off by saying that your rights are being trampled on. But then you don’t even mention one single right that has been trampled. I don’t care if you disagree with Obama or the Democrats, but if you’re going to say crap like that, please do us all the favor of backing it up with actual facts.
