Zelaya Threatens Violence Like A Typical Lefty
J.J. Jackson | July 27, 2009
Honduras ex-President, Manuel Zelaya, is doing once again what leftists are good at doing – threatening violence if they are not given power. Zelaya, you will recall, was ousted from power when he attempted to defy the Honduran Constitution and call for a referendum to prolong his stay in office. The nation’s high court, their popularly elected legislative body and the army all disagreed and united to stop him, removing him from power after he continued to try and rewrite the country’s constitution with a mob at his side.
Since then this thug has gotten the support of other thugs in the region including the Castros and Venezuelan nutjob Hugo Chavez. He has also gotten support from President Barack Obama leading me to once again remind the President if you show me who your friends are you show me who you are. Now Zelaya is trying to return to the country he once hoped to rule indefinitely and with an iron fist and making typical, yet toothless, threats. Hey, lefties are delusional after all.
He returned on Saturday and insisted he would not give up his fight to regain power, although he showed little appetite for a confrontation with security forces, saying he had held back from entering Honduras to avoid provoking a massacre.
“You know that if I get close and they want to arrest me, people will defend me and there will be a massacre,” he told reporters, sitting on the hood of a white jeep.
YAAAAAAWWWWN. Oh, excuse me for my disinterest in the ravings of a mad man. In Honduras most is calm. There have been some incidents of violence from Zelaya’s supporters but you have to expect that considering people like that do not have respect for the laws that govern them. Meanwhile except for Zelaya’s thugs the country is calm and the handful of lefties that want power over the people are not getting their way.
While the leaders of the world condemn Honduras for standing up for the rule of law the people of the world praise them. Honduras may not be perfect, but at least they know how to uphold their Constitution.
