Dear FairTaxer,
July 4th marks the day our new nation threw off the power of royalty. The FairTax can save our economy and make sure a new “royalty” in Washington, spending our earnings like there is no tomorrow, is dethroned and the rights of citizens for self-determination are restored.
There are a number of TEA Party events planned for Independence Day across the nation. The TEA parties have been a truly spontaneous outpouring of citizen opinion that government spending is out of control. It is a grassroots movement like the FairTax and we share, at the very least, the same concerns about running up huge federal debts. The solution–the FairTax–may not be entirely accepted by every Tea Party organizer but that is our challenge.
You and I know that once federal taxes are no longer hidden through withheld income and payroll taxes, the American public will come to understand the true connection between government spending and our earnings. As well as being a better national tax system, the FairTax will create powerful consumer pressure on politicians to stop such irresponsible spending of our earnings and those of our children and grandchildren.
If you attend TEA party events do try to print and bring copies of one of these recent full page newspaper ads to share with our fellow citizens.
