Sen. John Cornyn Gets Cold Reception At Tea Party
J.J. Jackson | July 6, 2009
The number of actual conservatives representing the GOP in Congress are slim and possibly even none. What the Republicans do have however is a plethora of moderate Republicans willing to act like liberals when they feel like violating the Constitution. One of those men is Sen. John Cornyn who voted in favor to the unconstitutional Troubled Asset Relief Program (aka TARP) last year.
On July forth he got an apparent earful while speaking at a TEA Party in Texas and the people gathered let him know that he is not being part of the solution:
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn drew boos from a crowd outside the Texas Capitol this afternoon as he spoke at a “tea party” rally organized by the Texas office of Americans for Prosperity.
Cornyn was booed at the start and close of his remarks, which assailed actions in Washington; there were no boos while he awarded a Purple Heart to a Copperas Cove resident injured in Iraq in 2006.
“You’re the problem,” a crowd member hollered.
Another crowd member yelled that Cornyn voted for the initial federal bailout of Wall Street approved by Congress last year, the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
So Cornyn at least knows how to keep the boos quiet, just keep a soldier nearby that you can pin an award on. I suggest you take that advice unless you want to be hit over the head with repeated reminders of your liberal ways whenever you attempt to portray yourself as something that you are not, or at least something you are not very good at being and that is a conservative.

Any political group outside the Democratic and Republican parties are classed by the media as “Independents.” Well, the independents are gaining the day…slowly. Make a statement. Register Conservative Party. Give the word Independent more meaning.
We need to change the GOP to the Conservative Party.
3rd parties elect Clintons. In November, 2010 the choice will be between a R and a D. Otherwise more Obama power grabbing.
