RSSNancy Pelosi Gets One Right!

Rarely does Nancy Pelosi, Shrieker of the US House of Representatives, do or say anything that makes any sense whatsoever to normal, patriotic Americans.
Remember, she is the Catholic Democrat who defended her pro-choice politics by claiming that the fathers of the church had not yet decided if abortion were a sin.
The very same Pelosi who spoke to a group of immigrants (probably illegal) at a church in San Francisco and declared that enforcing immigration laws was un-American!
Clearly, Nancy Pelosi missed her calling as a stand-up comic. Damn pity that Pelosi did not go to Hollywood to take Gracie Allen’s place as a confused air head; Pelosi would have been a natural for the role.
Instead, Pelosi has spent twenty years in Washington, D.C. working 24/7 against the best interests of the American people.
She did, however, get it right on the Michael Jackson media puke-in.

“At her news conference this morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked about the CIA, health care — and Michael Jackson.
“Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, who spoke at Jackson’s memorial service Tuesday, wants to honor the King of Pop for his humanitarian works. She told those at the service that she had introduced a House resolution honoring him.
“It is bound to be controversial. Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., has been particularly critical of Jackson’s lifestyle and the media’s coverage of his death, calling the pop legend a “pervert” and “lowlife.”
“Pelosi doesn’t want to bring it up for a vote. She says a resolution honoring Jackson would be counterproductive because it “would open up two contrary views.”
“Michael Jackson was a great, great performer,” Pelosi said. “Lots of sadness there for many reasons.”
“But, she added, “I don’t think it is necessary for us to have a resolution.”
Stop the presses and roll out the champagne! Nancy Pelosi, among the best and brightest San Francisco has to offer, actually took a common sense stance on an issue!
For nearly two weeks now, American media have attempted to deify Michael Jackson with 24/7 coverage of this very disturbed man’s life and death.
When is enough enough? How about 14 days ago?
Not according to moonbats like Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
If Congresswoman Lee had gotten her way, the US Congress would have stopped work on the collapsing US economy, massive deficits, soaring unemployment and gas prices, and Obama’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan long enough to pass a resolution honoring the deceased malcontent, AKA, Michael Jackson.
Thanks to Nancy Pelosi, that will not happen!
