In Italy, Obama turns to climate, trade, pope, G-8

L’AQUILA, Italy — President Obama landed in Italy Wednesday for three days of meetings with the world’s major economic powers to take stock of the international financial crisis, try to push action to stop nations from developing nuclear weapons, and try to curb global warming. Mr. Obama shared an early greeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano in Rome and was scheduled to then fly to L’Aquila in the center of the country for the summit.
