Health Care Bill Will Provide Option Of Who To Kill First, Baby Or Grandma
Carl Andrews | July 30, 2009
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer recently told reporters that a public option for government funded abortions would be part of the final health care reform package.
Not all Democrats, however are washing down their cookies with Kool-Aid.
Nineteen ”Blue Dog” Democrats warned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that they would not vote for any health care reform bill that either mandates government coverage for abortion or allows the Health Benefits Advisory Committee to recommend abortion services be included under covered benefits or as part of a benefits package.
The provisions that the more liberal members of Congress are advocating would cause taxpayers to be forced to pay for abortions for the first time in over thirty years.
For a few years after the passage of Roe v Wade, low income women were able to use Medicare funds to pay for abortions.
This practice came to a halt in 1976 when Congress passed the Hyde Amendment, putting an end to this practice.
In 1980, a case came before the Supreme Court challenging the Hyde Amendment, and it was upheld by the court, whose statement declared that a distinction could be made between abortion and “other medical procedures, because no other procedure involves the purposeful termination of a potential life.”
Sonia Sotomayor, I hope you are paying attention.
Because if the pro-death members of Congress manage to get their way, I sure you will be hearing about it.
While we are on the subject of pro death:
Section 1323 of the version of the health care reform package currently before the House refers to the creation of a government run “Advance Care Planning Consultation.”
The title sounds innocent enough, until you reach page 425 and learn that health care providers would be required, under federal law, to provide Medicare patients with counseling regarding the benefits and drawbacks of “artifically administered nutrition and hydration”, and other end of life treatments.
Are all of you who voted for these murderers-by-proxy really ready to hear this conversation between a physician and an elderly family member:
“Mrs. Smith, you have already lived a long and happy life. Are you sure you want me to hook up this I.V.?”
Now before anyone starts to complain that Obamacare is discriminatory, you folks with family members facing other challenges such as mental retardation, Alzheimer’s disease and the like havn’t been left out.
White House Chief-Of-Staff Rahm Emanuel has seen his brother, Dr. Ezekiel “Angel Of Death” Emanuel appointed to a high-level position as a member of Barack Obama’s health care reform team.
And Ezekiel has you folks covered.
He has stated that “Medical care should not be given to those who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.”
I hope all of you Kool-Aid drinkers are feeling better now.
