Broken Government Model
We are not a Democracy, we are a Socialist Republic, with Representatives selected by Special Interests and confirmed by registered voters, like Iran, Russia and Venezuela. A Democracy is a majority rules type of government, we never had that. If citizens could vote on congressional Bills over the internet, a very good idea, we wouldn’t have. the corruption we witness, the bribery, graft, extortion or stupid, unnecessary expenditures. If we Citizens voted on Bills, we would prioritize spending to include bare bones necessities like roads, bridges, sewers and water treatment. We would ensure that free enterprise could flourish. We would not be eager to bail out anybody including foreign countries. We would limit immigration to individuals with rare engineering skills. We would automate education using internet instruction and lay off most Teachers. We would automate banking and let Banks shrink immediately to levels matching actual demand. We would self insure everything we could. We would end the third party payer healthcare payment system and demand cost estimates. We would let Unions and Marxists fade into history. We would roll back Federal domination and shrink government. We would be tough on crime, close the border and ship all illegal immigrants home by bus. We would cap Malpractice settlements and require plaintiffs to pay defendants’ legal expenses for frivolous lawsuits. We would not let prisoners have contact to the outside, access to internet, phone, gym equipment, TV or law libraries. We would make prisons “bare bones” not let gangs run them, not let Moslems radicalize other inmates and require all inmates to work 50 hours a week. We would end abortion and Judicial and atheist attacks on Christianity. We would do many other things.

Our “Republic” model has not worked well for the majority of registered voters, nor will it in the future. The Trillions you are spending is increasing our Federal Debt and soon the interest on the Debt will exceed our current Federal Revenues. All of this borrowed money is being handed out to Special Interests through the TARP, excessive Fed lending, Stimulus and pork. Most of our tax dollars go to Healthcare providers, Insurance Companies, Big Banks, Government Employees, Public Education and Unions, all special interests. I believe the TARP was unnecessary. All we needed to do was to relax the “mark to market’ rule in August 2008, let the Fed lend to solvent banks, let the bad banks, AIG and the auto companies file for bankruptcy. We didn’t need the Stimulus or the pork. We needed to begin paying principle and interest on the Debt. Everything we’ve done since mid 2008 has been unnecessary, harmful, stupid and wasteful.
