SOTOMAYOR McConnell: Panel needs more time Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell said Sunday that the Senate Judiciary Committee needs more time to review records in connection with Judge Sonia Sotomayor’s Supreme Court nomination. Mr. McConnell of Kentucky said that in the past few days about 300 boxes of materials have turned up from Judge Sotomayor’s years as a lawyer with a legal advocacy group, the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund.
