The Sotomayor Abortion Ploy

Is some conservative talking about supporting Sotomayor if they could be convinced that she might, just might, be pro-life and would end the federal approval for murdering babies through Roe v. Wade? Is that someone Rush? I ask because my email is full people asking me if I would support the racist and sexist, anti-second amendment and anti-constitution Sotomayor if she would prove to be a vote in favor of ending the genocide against unborn children.

I usually only receive this volume of email on a single topic with the same repetitive question when some high profile person starts talking about such a possibility. Since this email started around 12:20 PM I have to assume that Limbaugh has said something to this effect, ingenuous or not. But since my readers want to apparently know what I think, I will speak for myself.

Are you people seriously asking me if I would support a woman be nominated to the Supreme Court if she would take steps to end the murder of children while at the same time her paper trail shows that she would disregard discrimination based on race when the discrimination is towards those of not the appropriate race (ie white people) and would work tirelessly to prohibit all Americans from having their right to keep and bear arms in order to protect themselves from criminals and an out of control and unconstitutional government? The answer is no.

The answer is no because by supporting her you are simply trading one evil for another. When you do that, you still have evil in the end. We should work to remove evil, not make a deal with a different devil just to get rid of the current one oppressing us and others.
