RSSSotomayor Is Driving One Wing Nuts But Not The One You Think …

Of course Sonia Sotomayor’s nomination is driving any patriotic American who cares about limited government and our Constitution nuts. But NOT as much as she is apparently driving the left wing completely bonkers! The left side of the internet is a flutter as it always is once the truth about them and their fellow travelers starts oozing out. I know this because people are sending me links to posts from meaningless liberal blogs ranting and raving over the issue.
Robert Gibbs sent the lefties off again when he said late last week that Sotomayor’s, “word choice in 2001 was poor,” when she specifically said how being an Hispanic woman gave her a richer experience and made her more qualified than a white male. Robert Gibbs and the White House have tried to down play those comments by saying, “I think she’d say that her word choice in 2001 was poor, that she was simply making the point that personal experience are relevant for the process of the judging.” (source)
Unfortunately that is not what she said Mr. Gibbs and if that was the point she was trying to make then why bring up both race and sex twice? Once each to prop herself up and once each to demean someone else?
Well the firestorm has begun over that comment and lefties are now upset with Gibbs for bringing up an issue they considered settled and adding fuel to the fire. You know, it’s settled like Global Warming is and how it is “settled” that the Constitution really does provide for the federal government to tax workers to pay for the retirement of others. You know, that kind of “settled.” And by “settled” I mean that it is too much for liberals to deal with the truth so they just move on to the next issue. They want it to die so they can get what they want and screw everyone else.
It’s fun to watch!
