House Again Passes Bill They Did Not Read! This Time Cap And Trade!

If ever there was a reason to throw the bums out of Congress from Nancy Pelosi on down it is because they repeatedly vote on legislation that they do not read! It happened with TARP and now it has happened again on the Global Warming/Cap And Trade bill that was just passed tonight despite the fact that human made CO2 (which the bill regulates among other things) is well proven to not be causing global warming.

I know, Al Gore says otherwise but really, do you trust a man who claims to be so concerned about the environment yet jets around the world in a private jet and has a home that is documented to use more electricity than some small towns?

The House of Representatives passed a sweeping climate-change bill Friday – a major victory for President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that left Republicans fuming about a “national energy tax” they said would exacerbate the nation’s economic woes.

The vote was extremely close – 219-212, with eight Republicans voting yes and 44 Democrats voting no. And the debate leading up to it was intense.

In the hours before passage, Rep. Geoff Davis, a Republican from Kentucky, said the cap-and-trade bill represented the “economic colonization of the heartland” by New York and California. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) called the bill a “scam” that would do nothing but satisfy “the twisted desires of radical environmentalists.” Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.) called it a “massive transfer of wealth” from the United States to foreign countries.

Lots of wrangling went in to getting this vote through with many Democrats scared as hell to vote for it and as usual several liberal Republicans betraying the people of this nation for a hoax. After a 300 page amendment dumped on the body at around 3 AM this morning there was no way that any member of the House had the ability to read it plus all the referenced and associated laws.

But the idiots of this country keep electing these fools leaving all of us to suffer. Heck, what else is new? Congress doesn’t seem to think that Americans who weren’t intelligent enough to read through the terms of their mortgages should be bailed out and those same Americans capitulate by pulling the lever for these Nimrods.

The good news is that even with the Democrats in charge of the Senate, this bill faces a very steep hill to climb there and at present count there are nowhere near enough votes to pass it and send it on to the President’s desk where Lord High Barack Obama would surely sign it.

    Folks it is house cleaning time. Get them bums out of our house. Send campaign contributions to their opponents immediately. Be prepared to gather votes against them. We have to take action NOW!
