Greetings Fellow Patriots!

The Golden Gate Minutemen will march in the Fremont Independence Day Parade this year as we have for the past two years. This year we’ve created a float, and will have music and costumes. Fremont as you may guess, is so jammed packed with “diversity”, that our own American history seems to be pushed off to the sides at times. In this important year we’d like to have an “overwhelming” American presence and are requesting your participation to help us achieve this goal.

We’ll meet at 9:00am on Saturday July 4th and the parade is over by noon.

If you’d like to attend our parade meeting at the Weekes Library in Hayward , CA, please contact us. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. and we’ll also go over our plans for upcoming Tea Parties taking place around the Bay Area.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but want to join us for the parade, please email Sandi by July 1, 2009, at sandi.jacobs@goldengateminutemen.org or you may leave a message at (510) 355-0357 and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

More parade information:

On the 4th of July, the Golden Gate Minutemen and volunteer marchers will be gathering at 9:00 a.m. at the WyoTech Parking Lot, 420 Whitney Place , Fremont , CA 94539-7663 . Most of the free parking is nearby on the west side of Warm Springs Boulevard . This will fill up fast so plan to come early. Our float will meet up with our volunteers at the WyoTech parking lot at 9:00 a.m. T-shirts (a gift of $20.00 to cover the cost of the t-shirt would be very much appreciated) will be distributed to all marchers as we are supposed to be in uniform. We have extra t-shirts for those that are still considering marching. We also purchased tri corner hats and sewn bonnets. Please see the pictures along with pricing at the bottom of this email, please let us know (sandi.jacobs@goldengateminutemen.org) by July 1, 2009 if you would like to purchase a hat, bonnet or T-shirt to wear.

We are also in need of additional flags and a marching drum. We’d like to have a 9/11 Flag, 1776 Flag, Betsy Ross Flag, CA Flag, and a Don’t Tread on Me. If anyone has any of these and would allow us to borrow them we’d be very greatful.
