This should be a pretty good shin-dig. If you make it out, Texas Border Volunteers will have an exhibit so stop by and say hello.
Please forward to others you might know in the Dallas area.

Nationally-known speakers – World-famous musicians – Fantastic fireworks extravaganza – Food, fun and more!
Tens of thousands of citizens from Texas and around the region are expected to turn out on July 4, 2009 for America’s Tea Party, a FREE rally and fireworks show to be held at the famous Southfork Ranch near Dallas, TX. Southfork is internationally known as the film location for the legendary “Dallas” television series.
America’s Tea Party, to take place from 3pm to midnight on Independence Day, will feature a full lineup including nationally-known speakers and entertainment, plus games, vendors, prizes, food and drinks for purchase, a 21-minute fireworks program, and more. Speakers at the event will focus on the opportunity for every citizen to make a difference by standing up for liberty and working against further government expansion, bailouts and irresponsible elected officials.
Here is a layout of the Southfork Ranch property showing the Cool Zone air-conditioned pavilion with buffet, the VIP seating area, the Kid Zone activity area, the exhibit booth area, the general parking (available for $10 per vehicle) and VIP parking areas, a dedicated area for pop-ups, and more:
Speakers
Emcees for the event are KLIF 570 radio personalities and authors Jeff Bolton and Jon-David Wells.
Featured speakers include American hero Scott O’Grady, and blogger and best-selling author Michelle Malkin.
Also featured are former Heritage Foundation policy analyst Michael Johns, Center for Immigration Studies Fellow Michael Cutler, Empower Texans CEO Michael Quinn Sullivan, and Texas State Director of Americans For Prosperity Peggy Venable.
Musical entertainment includes The Monkees’ Mickey Dolenz as well as local and regional performers.
As speakers, entertainers and exhibitors are added we will continue to update this page, so be sure to check back often or subscribe to updates so that you’re kept up to date.
“Big unlimited government threatens our rights to liberty and freedom,” explained Phillip Dennis. “Bailouts and mounting national debt threaten Americans’ right to earn a living and provide their children with a secure future,” he said.
America’s Tea Party on Independence Day will be the third event held by the organization so far this year. A previous event, held on April 15, 2009, drew over 5,000 protesters to Dallas City Hall, and about 500,000 at affiliated rallies across the nation.
We can’t wait to see you at Southfork Ranch on the 4th!
