Former Vice President Dick Cheney on Monday expressed concern that the pending pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq’s cities could reverse the military progress made by American and Iraqi forces there since the George W. Bush administration’s 2007 surge. “I hope the Iraqis can deal with it,” Mr. Cheney told The Washington Times’ “America’s Morning News” radio show. “At some point, they have to stand on their own, but I would not want to see the U.S. waste all the tremendous sacrifice that has gotten us to this point.” Iraqis have already been celebrating ahead of Tuesday’s pullout, which the …
