Shanna Moakler Mopes. Takes Her Ball And Goes Home.

The fall out over the whole brouhaha over Carrie Prejean (Miss California) continues. But as has been the case, that fallout has claimed another victim that is not Miss Prejean. The first to fall was wacko Perez Hilton who showed the world exactly what a childish bitch he really was and has not garnered half the attention of the woman he attacked viciously since the incident. Now Shanna Moakler, a former Miss USA and also a member of the Miss California USA organization, resigned and has taken her ball and gone home.
Why? Well, because Shanna is also intolerant of people like Miss Prejean who will not accept some bastardized definition of marriage.
“I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth,” she continues. “I want to be a role model for young woman with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams.”
Being that role model apparently includes sulking and whining over not getting her way. A lesson we can only hope that her children will not learn. Apparently she believes that Miss California should be an advocate for gay marriage even though the majority of Californian’s have rejected such measures on multiple occasions. Apparently Shanna Moakler believes that the people of California are just too dumb to know what is best for them and sees Miss California as a way to inform them of the proper way to think.
But here is the real trouble with Moakler. While it is apparently not ok for a pageant contestant in the Miss California contest to have views on gay marriage (or perhaps just views on gay marriage that hurt Moakler’s frail sensitivities) it is for this woman to go out and tell the world about hers. See, Moakler has put her face to a print ad (shot April 28th) that supports the failed Prop 8 and gay marriage.
But that is ok. She is entitled to her opinion and to tell you what it is because she is a good little liberal. As for everyone else? Well, Moakler would just assume that they be shamed into sitting down and being kept quiet.
And to all this I just have one thing to say.
Duh – duh – duh – another lib bites the dust!
