RSSLife Cannot Be All About Work … But It Still Sort of Is

Emails, emails and more emails … I have been getting a lot of them lately asking were my daily commentaries have gone. Well, the answer is that they were briefly suspended while I worked on certain other work and personal related business. For those of you that do not know, one of the chief suppliers of our t-shirts (Cafepress) has given not just us, but every person selling items through their interface, the literal shaft and will be manipulating our prices and docking our commissions for certain types of sales. This is a major potential whack at our income stream so in light of that I have been spending a lot of time putting those same designs up on other sites and working out agreements for supply. Since the t-shirt selling end of Land of the Free Studios, Inc. is where a hefty chunk of our money comes from, this of course takes precedent over other things I would like to do. Yes, that includes bludgeoning liberals over the head daily until they scream uncle. We are also working on a ton of stuff behind the scenes at LotF Inc. to help make our family websites even better and there will soon be a new document dump to the Essential Reading section of American Conservative Daily.
But there have also been other things that needed done as well. First of all, I had to put a new front door on my house to replace what I swear is the original door from when the house was built in 1955 and the crummy lock that has been bothering since we purchased the house years ago. Also, being spring, that means lots of yard work to be done. There are weeds everywhere and I have had some landscaping to do as well including cutting down a row of hedges (ever try to remove the stumps on boxwoods so that won’t grow back?) and establishing a mulch bed on a hill that was just too much of a pain in the ass to mow.
Plus, as many of you know, my wife is pregnant with our second child. Even though she is not due until October, there are a lot of miscellaneous things that need done in preparation for that too. I am also working on matting and framing several pieces of artwork that we recently purchased to help liven up the house which takes some time to do right.
I am working at getting everything back on track. Put away the conspiracy theories. No one has gotten to me and you will notice that my weekly articles are still going out like clockwork. In addition to that what I have been doing is working on some other, and previously mentioned, projects including putting the finishing touches on a couple items which I hope to release very soon and will, as usual, be very infuriating to the enemies of liberty and this country.
