RSS48% Want Socialism?

This falls into the “Americans are dumb” category. Why do I say that? Because in poll after poll we have Americans claiming by totals of around 60% to be “conservative.” However I have always contended the actual number is closer to 30-40% with the remaining 20-30% being “moderates” who hate to be lumped in with liberals even though they themselves are pretty liberal.
Witness that a new Rasmussen Poll shows that 48% of Americans favor the federal government acting beyond its Constitutional bounds and mandating that employers offer paid vacation:
Forty-eight percent (48%) of U.S. voters favor a federal law requiring companies to provide paid vacation for all full-time and part-time employees, but most don’t think it would be good for the economy.
Thirty-eight percent (38%) oppose a law mandating paid vacation, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. A Florida Democratic congressman is planning to introduce such a law in the House this week.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of all voters believe most companies already provide paid vacations for full-time employees. Twenty-four percent (24%) do not think that is true, and another 24% are not sure.
I wonder how many of those 48% in favor of state control of business (that’s socialism for those of you with a government school education) are first aware that it is in fact socialism and second aware that there is no authority anywhere in the Constitution for such action. My bets are on low double digits on both accounts.
But the “good news” is that after these retards allow government to mandate to business, they will “graciously” allow the company to decide how much mandatory paid vacation time to offer.
More than three-out-of-four voters (76%) nationwide say it should be a company’s decision how much vacation time to provide for its workers rather than one made by the government. Just 14% say the government should determine how much vacation time a company’s workers get.
Gee, obvious loophole here! Fine, you want government to mandate paid vacation but allow me as a business owner to set how much? Ok then. Zero days for you. Want to take time off? Take it without pay.
Yeah, and watch how quickly the would be socialists who thought that they would get something by force turn around and mandate how much vacation time must be given! It’s the socialist way!
