The Left And ‘Teabagging’

On his tax day episode of Breakdown, Keith Olbermann indulged himself some fun making of the many hundreds of thousands of Americans that gathered together to protest the Obama administration’s abuse of our tax dollars. Like his compatriot of the extreme left and fellow MSNBC host, Rachel Maddow, the fun making centered not on the actual reason the protests were called but on the words “tea bag.”
Naturally, it isn’t just Maddow and Olbermann that are tittering over tea bags – after all, these two aren’t innovators, but parrots. Maddow and Olbermann are merely reflecting the foolishness of their string pullers on the left. The entire far left from the DailyKos to the profane folks at Wonkette or DemmocraticUnderground are falling all over themselves over the words “tea bag.”
So what is the deal? Why are these fools twittering and guffawing over the simple words “tea” and “bag”? You see, it’s all a reference to some immoral, immature and perverted sex act. I won’t bother to go into the perversion at which the left is laughing because, well, it is utterly meaningless as legitimate political discussion. But, the whole joke the left is sniggering at is a revealing episode to explain the difference between the anti-American left and the rest of America.
As it happens, when talking to an engaged, informed, and patriotic American, when a tea party is discussed the images of Boston Harbor, taxes and American history immediately come to mind. A true American automatically thinks of the American Revolution, the birth of our nation and that proud tradition of self-reliance and rugged individualism infused into our country by its founders. The words invoke the entire panoply of America in the minds of real Americans everywhere.
Then we come to the left. Apparently, the first thing that comes to their “minds” is some arcane, disgusting sexual perversion and not American history and tradition.
And therein lies a major difference between the left and the right in America today. You see, on the right, America, its history and traditions are always at the forefront of the mind. A deep interest in the health and customs of this country are paramount. And to the left, no thought of America can be found. But sexual perversions are aplenty.
And there you have it. It’s quite a telling difference. But it is a difference as real as any.
So, Keith old pal, I’d nominate you are “worst person in the world” today, but you don’t qualify in at least one of those categories.

Wait, is this real? Really?
Um, you’ve heard of apples and oranges right? Well, you are doing a linguistic version of mixing them up.
I am a liberal, pussy, socialist, muslim and obviously hate America. But, when you say “Tea Party” I think of Boston and the patriots, yada yada.
However, when you say “Tea-bagging” as was promoted on MANY signs I saw at protests, yes I think of a man’s testicles in someone else’s mouth. Because that is what tea-bagging is my friend.
Teabagging is immoral and impure? What planet are you from? I mean, I can see if stimulating a man’s testicles with your mouth may not be your cup of tea (har!) for immoral? For heaven’s sake, it’s just oral sex. Is that disallowed in the Bible?
[...] Because of this the whole article is displayed. A very smart eunuch has taken to the Internet to demonstrate, with his own two hands, how the various — well, just “two,” because binary [...]
When did Teabagging become immoral and impure? Is all oral sex also immoral and impure? Or is it just when the balls go in the mouth. Also, is it that a man can’t dip his balls in the mouth, but if the other person takes the ball’s into their mouth, is that OK?
I guess my point is A) Is it OK for Balls to go in a mouth
B) If Yes, then is there a way that is considered moral and pure?
So how do you explain the “Let’s teabag Obama” and the “Teabag the democrats before they teabag you” signs being toted around by the teabaggers? Hmmm?
(and of course you would use something obscene to describe the insufferable clowns that showed up at the tea bag parties — it’s not like they merit anything more)
Feel free to throw stones when wingers stop fucking in bathroom stalls, okay? Thanks.
KEITH OLBERMAN IS A FAG. FAG FAG. FAGGETY. HE WOULD NEVER TEABAG WITH US.
KEITH + OLBERMAN= FAG.
LET’S TEABAG.
There was no such thing as teabags, back in the 1770’s, so obviously anyone who associates them with that period is a retard. Intelligent people associate teabagging with the appropriate definition, “Balls in the Mouth”.
Tea parties? Alice in Wonderland? Rich old ladies in the afternoon?Revolutionary violence in Boston harbor?
Tea bagging?Never heard the term til lately-I am a naif, but I would have thought it was a service job at Lipton or Tetley Corp.
American patriotism revealed through Freud’s free association technique-
My, what an utterly pretentious way of framing such a puerile Mother Goose dichotomy:
Sugar and spice vs. snips and snails, dressed up in the prose of a grade school thesaurus-assisted book report.
And how convenient that your straw man enemies are all “anti-American”.
A man went to an afternoon Tea Party carrying a lit lantern. When asked what he was doing, he replied, “I’m looking for a teabagger capable of reasoned adult discourse.”
Actually, the ‘liberal left’ is laughing at how impossibly uniformed the ‘really reactive right’ is. People are having these astroturf demonstrations that are funded by the very same large corporations that have the most to lose by the new tax code. This whole conservative movement is so stupid in fact, that you see middle class people angry because the president wants to cut their taxes and impose higher taxation on the thieving corporations and bigwig rich folks who are profiting from their sweat and blood. When you deride the ‘liberal media’ what you are actually deriding is being well-informed, because the average ‘Joe’ being well-informed is your worst nightmare. Oh, and we are laughing because you people are so ill-informed that you choose to name a movement after a silly, sophomoric, sexual innuendo At least google the phrase next time, then you will sound a bit less stupid, any kid on the street could tell you what ‘tea bagging’ is, and it has nothing to do with taxes.
I WAS AT A TEA PARTY IN NASHVILE. I GOT CHAISED AROUND BY A BUNCHA MUSLINS FRUM ACORN. I WAS WITH MY DOTTERS, SO I RAN AWAYZ FROM THEM. NO WAY OBAMA IS GONNA RE-EDUCAIT MY DOTTERS. NO REDUCATION CAMPS. SENATUR BACHMAN FROM MINESOTA IS RITE.
archaeoangel is a perfect example of an American leftist. Every single thing he said is an outright lie. That’s all the left knows how to do, unfortunately.
Teabagging reminds you of the Boston Tea Party? Interesting.
Think of the parts of speech used. Tea party is a noun, referring to an event (either the Boston Tea Party, or a social party that is done usually by females for some certain occasion.) Now teabag is also a noun, referring to the bags that you put in hot water to make tea. In the phrase “Teabag the White House”, however, the word teabag functions as a verb–the verb refers to the sexual act.
Learn your parts of speech.
Oh, Warner Todd Huston, don’t be so upset; it is perfectly natural for people to laugh when another segment of the population innocently co-opts the name of a sexual act and starts chanting it in the public arena. Come on! Have you no sense of absurdity?
I’m all for free speech and am glad the Tax Day protesters got their day out, but it boils down to this: The “Tea Party” protests, in their original vintage, were about the steady increase in taxes and the Colonial lack of representation in the imposition of those taxes. The current “Tea Parties” are apparently in reaction to the USE of the monies gained from taxes — taxes which are not only lower than previous decades, but duly voted for by representatives.
So you’ve got the initial mindboggling juxtaposition, and then put on top of that the fact that people are spending money posting teabags (which did not exist in 1773) to the White House to protest… wasteful spending? And THEN they start cheering about “teabagging Washington!” on live television.
So now we’ve got a group of people misinterpreting the original revolutionary act, using a symbol that did not even exist at that time, and then verbing the symbol. And accidentally advocating a largely homosexual sex act on national broadcasts.
It’s funny. I know you don’t like it, but it’s funny. On the flip side, it’s a really alarming indicator of how little youth involvement there is in the modern conservative movement, because most of these things (“teabagging”, NOM, 2M4M) raise red flags for under-35s. For those to have gone through utterly unnoted…. yikes, conservatives.
The amount of babbling incoherency from leftists wandering aimlessly for a rational thought is quite amuzung to read. Off topic and headed towards Mars is about the best way to destribe each and every one of them.
Now they become historical sticklers? After years of telling lies about the NAZIs being right wingers and ignoring that the Democrats have always been the party of racism?
They claim it is the right that is uninfiormed? Yet these are the mental midgets that can’t even cite a single Constitutional statement to support 90% of the programs their fellow travelers have proposed over the years?
Up is down and black is white any time a liberal is around.
Now JJ, it’s not very productive to randomly pull the most inciting examples from shadowy, nameless “lefties” to try and make a point. I think most people are aware that the Democrats were certainly taking advantage of racist sentiment in the first half of the century. But then again, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, parties realign themselves and times change.
None of this changes the fact that a group of people describing themselves as “conservative” co-opted a historical event with no relation to their cause, and then campaigned nonsensically. In costume. Shouting the phrase “teabag them!”
I think it’s hilarious that the bold patriot organizers of the Tea Parties didn’t bother to google the phrase “Teabag” before using it as a “brand.”
What’s even more hilarious is that now they’re backpedaling from it in embarrassment.
Geez, people. Do a little research before you start printing up buttons, coffee mugs to sell and signs to wave in public.
Google is your friend.
@ Grace:
When you cannot argue the facts just keep talking right? No relation to their cause? You are daft and it shows. The original tea party was over taxes. These new tea parties were also about taxes.
Now that the revisionist history is done…
@ g:
What I think is hilarious is how people like yourself try to claim that turning a noun into a verb means (ie. the act of sending teabags = teabagging) means something other than what it means because there might be another meaning to the word which you prefer to use when you and the other lefties know damn well the connotation it is meant in to avoid arguing about the facts of the matter like liberals hate to have to do.
Like Mr. Jackson pointed out the left is constantly rewriting words (incoherently I would like to add) to suit their own agenda such as claiming that the National Socialist Party (NAZIs) of Germany actually somehow relate to modern conservatives and classical liberals. Then they get upset because teabagging has now come to mean something else and actuallyu is a reasonable use of the word.
But liberals don’t care. ANd it shows.
Hey Grace, let me know when the Democrat party “realigns.”. You know away from the concept of enslaving some to work for the benefit of others like in the welfare state and stops treating people like myself as incompetent inferiors simply because of my skin tone which happens to be darker than most. Tell me when they stop attacking us uppity blacks who can think for ourselves as not “authentic” blacks, not black enough or Uncle Toms and focus solely on how they think we are sell outs and avoid arguing the topics because they know the can’t.
Yeah, please let me know when that happens and liberals wake up.

Ok so are liberals pro homosexuality? Or do they thing that it something that is to be derided?
As usual they don’t know what they think and blow freely in the wind.
Teabag them some more because people with a brain (yes, this does however exclude liberals) underdtand the meaning!

Liberals and their ideology would be humorous if their feelings were not so dangerous to liberty. All they can do is yap and yap never realizing how shallow and idiotic they are when they lie and attack without basis.
Only a moron would be so dense as to describe a tax protest movement as tea-bagging and to make such a protest at a time when the majority of taxpayers in the nation have gotten a tax cut.
Duhhhhhh!
So, if someone gives all Americans a $13 a week bonus in their paycheck because of fiddling with the witholding tables (not a tax cut) and we are still paying near or over 50% of our income in taxes when you account for all the carry through from SSI, welfare match, corporate income, state, local, federal, fees, etc that we are still paying that makes people that complain a moron?
No, you are the moron.
