A special message from Rick Jones, Volunteer Coordinator
FLIERS – PRECINCT WALKS
We need help! This is a call for volunteers who are able to walk the precincts and distribute fliers. We are attempting to deliver fliers in specific communities. We have covered a lot of ground to date but there is still much more to do. The more people we have participating the easier it becomes for all the precinct walkers.

We have lots of fliers and the goal is to get them into the hands of the voters. Call Tom at 312-848-1605 and he will find a way to get the fliers to you. We know that many of you are distributing campaign fliers at your own venues and we can’t thank you enough for doing so.

We now have a very large number of plastic hanging bags that have an eyelet for easy hanging on doorknobs.

Please keep a mental note of the areas you have worked and email that info to Tom or myself. This way we will be able to keep track of which areas are completed.

We need to get out the vote. The good people of the 5th District need to be reminded that there is a special election on April 7th. They also need to be reminded that there is a good reason to vote on April 7th. That reason is, of course, our candidate, Rosanna Pulido. If we are able to get our voters to the polls we will win.

The energy and momentum is on our side.

CAMPAIGN SIGNS:
We have eight large 4’x4’ campaign signs that are looking for a good home. Please call Tom at 312-848-1605 or Robin at 847-671-4486 if you have an idea where these signs could go up. Some kind of commercial window would likely be best but all ideas are welcome.

Also, Robin is proposing that the campaign yard signs be moved from private yards to the polling places on Tuesday morning. It’s my understanding that campaign signs cannot be closer than 50 feet to the polling place.

PHONE BANK:
Maureen Gerrish has fully operational phone banks up and running. If you are willing to make phone calls to 5th District voters to generate support, please contact Maureen:

Phone: 413-664-4369
Email: pulidophonebank@gmail.com

GOOD IDEAS COLUMN:
Send in your “Good Ideas” and I will share them with the other volunteers.

One lady I spoke to said she liked to put fliers on the cars in the Church parking lot on the Sunday before election day.

If flyers are going to be passed out where a lot of people are going into a building, do not hand out the flyer as they are entering. Instead, wait to hand out the flyer to the people on the way out, this way they are more apt to take them home and read them rather than throwing them out inside the building.

Riding for Rosanna’ Bike tour campaign!
Pull that old bicycle out of the garage and hit the streets as we ride for Rosanna!

I am organizing a cycling tour through the 5th Congressional district to put up road signs and hand out flyers.

You don’t have live in the 5th or be a pro cyclist to participate! All’s you need is a bike in good shape, a good helmet and a passion for getting the word out for our conservative candidates! We will gather at Rosanna’s campaign headquarters at 7am and ride along a pre-designated rout (safe for cyclists, maps will be provided) winding through the 5th Con. Dist., letting all know about Rosanna, ready to serve the needs of the people, not the needs of the liberal Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda.

This is an all day ride so be prepared. If you are interested please RSVP so I can send you ride specifics. I’ll be offering free tune ups and bike inspections in case your ride needs a little help before we take off.

What better way to campaign that with a full day of exercise and fresh air? See you on the road!
