Democrat Lawmaker: CLOSE MEXICAN BORDER!

Ever so often, a national crisis or potential crisis will be of such grave consequence that even a stray Democrat will cross over to the light side and employ common sense and good will on behalf of American citizens.
Such appears to be the case with regard to the swine flu virus from Mexico that is threatening to explode into a full-scale pandemic.

“The “swine flu” that has infected more than 1,000 people in Mexico has led a lawmaker on the House Homeland Security Committee to call on U.S. officials to close the southern border.
“Rep. Eric Massa (D-N.Y.) said the border should be closed until the threat is resolved.
“The public needs to be aware of the serious threat of swine flu, and we need to close our borders to Mexico immediately and completely until this is resolved,” Massa said in a statement.
“I am making this announcement because I see this as a serious threat to the health of the American public and I do not believe this issue is receiving the attention it needs to have in the news,” Massa said.”
Bravo to Rep. Massa for having the courage and intelligence to do what is best for America. Placing American citizens first is the responsibility of all elected officials in this land, and it is about time that those holding office live up to their constitutional responsibility.
Got that President Obama, Janet Napolitano, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid?
Coddling to Mexico and the illegal alien demographic that most Democrats worship is very dangerous and traitorous when American lives and property are in peril.
However, Rep. Massa’s demand does not go quite far enough:
The borders with Mexico should be closed permanently with military force, and illegal aliens now in America should be rounded up and deported back to Mexico.
Viva America!

The cause of the pandemic has to do with the fact that Mexico is a third would country and their health care system sucks and their people are impoverished.
The fact that Mexico is a third world county and that their people are impoverished has nothing to do with America. Mexico has beautiful tourist areas and a wealth of natural resources (timber, oil, NG, etc.). They could be just like the United States when it comes to wealth. The problem for them is that while the United States is slowly sliding to socialism, Mexico has been practicing it for years and is way ahead of us. Americans can look at Mexico and see their future.
The truth is painful I know. But it is a lot more relevant than your mindless talking point rant Michkin.
That border should have been closed along time ago!! and we wouldnt be having all these problems
right about now i think they should close the border. and for those who get pissed because of that its like get over it ppl dont have to support your cause, its about protecting our borders and if closing the border prevents at least one more infected person for entering our country and endangering our citizens health then i saw seal all the borders especially the mexican one. i hope that those infected will get the help they need but i dont what anyone else sick
Voting citizens should be demanding of elected officials that in the case of a pandemic our government follow public health concerns and take all prudent precautions and close the borders. The only reason that they haven’t already done that seems to be political. Who do they represent Americans or Mexicans?
