Texas: District 101 Town Hall Meeting

Carolyn Hileman - The Voice | March 12, 2009

District 101 State Representative Robert Miklos (D) will hold a Town Hall Meeting Saturday, March 14th, 2009 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm at the Town East Mall Conference Center, next to El Chico.

Attendees will have an opportunity to express their concerns and discuss the happenings of the State Legislature. Rep. Miklos will be outlining his goals and review the first two months of the legislative session.

For more information, please contact Sam Jones at 972-285-9270

I’ll be attending this Town Hall to question Mr. Miklos about Texas efforts to rein in illegal immigration, and efforts to take back control of TXDOT from developers, construction contractors, political cronies, and foreign interests. Those who can attend, should make the effort. Even if Rep. Miklos isn’t your Representative, the issues he will be advancing and voting on effect all Texans, and all Texas taxpayers. Town East Mall is an easy convenient forum for us to raise important issues. Mr. Miklos is the “new kid” in the Texas legislature, and this promises to be a high profile event for him. Dallas, Tarrant, Collin county pro-illegal, pro-TXDOT, pro-Obama interests will be there in force, so help out if you can. Those who can’t attend, send me your issues, and I’ll see if I can’t get an answer. Don’t send me vague “they should do this” issues, send me detailed questions, cite a particular bill number if that’s what your question is about. If you have particular concerns, cite Legislator names, newspaper articles, press releases, etc,,,. I don’t mind carrying the water, but I simply don’t have the time to research everyone’s issues for them.

Anyone interested in participating in this Town Hall who would like to meet with me prior to the Town Hall, or anyone who wants to be there and simply needs a ride, e-mail me and I’ll pick you up. Anyone with research, information, or questions dealing with Rep. Miklos specifically, contact me ASAP.
